A Critical History of German Film (Studies in German Literature Linguistics and Culture) (Volume 93)

Okay guys if you’re looking for a hammock, I for sure recommend this one. I was on the fence about the $70 Eno and almost bought it... I’m glad I didn’t. I’ve used an eno before and this is completely comproable to it for much much less. The double owl is very roomy and I weigh about 230. Just pick up some bigger straps and you couldn’t be more set.!

This book was for a college class. It's an awesome book. I learned a lot!!! I also got an A in this class. :)

This is a terrific overview of German cinema. It is thorough and well-researched. It will probably need an updated edition, as all film history books do, if they seek to be current.

This is a great book for those who want an introduction in German Film History. I used in my German Film Course and my students loved it.

This book is superb, a great study of German film history, focusing on many famous and important German films. Highly recommended.

Good survey and overview of German Cinema with special attention paid to the most common films used in the German culture classroom.

Covers the sweep of German film from the earliest days to the end of the twentieth century, absolutely fascinating. Sufficiently detailed to include reviews of many of the best known films, without attempting to list every film. A balance of looking at genres and plot types, with material on individual directors and actors. Business angle is mentioned without distorting the 'critical' view of the art. Highly recommended.
