Plays well on my U.S. dvd player

I am so glad that this franchise decided to put all the movies together. My kid just discovered the Karate Kid films, and they really love all the movies. It's unfortunate that they don't make movies like this anymore, but at least we can give these youngsters a tidbit of how cool the 80s were.

Wanted to introduce my Nephew to the karate kid movies with the new on coming out soon so I get this for him for Christmas because they have poor internet where they are. He loved them.

The DVDs all played okay. really didn't care for the remake didn't like the character, seemed arrogant seemed unlikable. My opinion is biased because I've never liked Will Smith's son in any movie he's played in. I guess it goes back to him being a jerk character in The Day the Earth stood still and he still playing a jerk kid in this movie as well. Another aspect of the remake that I really didn't like was the romance kind of tie in. like in the first movie it worked with teenagers but it didn't work with kids, just kind of really weird. Really a bad choice in using such young actors and actresses in the remake.

Great movie collection

This set is perfect! All five movies together in one set??? Doesn't get better than this!
