After 2 hurricanes, needed to replace my bolts and opted to replace them all. Greased the bolts and they threaded perfectly, no issues.

Nice quality at a reasonable price

These have worked perfectly for replacing old hurricane shutter bolts. We had our house painted a few years ago, and unfortunately they painted over the hurricane bolts. This made many of them difficult to screw in and out.These have been fantastic as a replacement bolt, the head has a large wide groove for a Standard/Slotted or even Phillips head driver to screw these in easily. I was impressed at how well these work with a range of drivers. The container that they come in is easy to pop open, so these bolts were all over the shipping box when I opened it, but that's not a big deal.They have been very easy to use, sturdy, and have helped making hanging hurricane shutters for the most recent hurricane much easier. 5 Stars

Exactly as described and easy to install.

Don't know what is going on. I'm using these with stainless nylon lock nuts that I previously bought through Amazon. The weird thing is maybe 3-4 out of ten bind up while driving the nut on to the screw at about the half way point. No cross threading, just they start to bind and it's so bad a few bolts broke. I used maybe 15 of the 100 supplied. I don't recall having the problem with the nuts on standard plated 1/4-20 bolts. The threads look normal to me but I didn't look using a magnifying glass. So, while the concept is good when you want a near flush mount head, buyer beware. I will update at a later date.UPDATE-3/30/22-I checked a random sample of about 10 bolts with non-nylon lock nuts (a standard nut) and had no problems with thread binding. BUT, I also checked nylon-lock nuts randomly on standard steel bolts and, no problem. So there is something about the combo of the nylon-lock nuts and these bolts. I upped the rating to 4 star. Because they are unique they could be 5 star but because of this weird problem; can't go any higher. A solution would be to replace the nylon-lock nuts with double non-nylon lock nuts clamped against each other. Weird.

Exact replacement for missing parts. 1/4 - 20 thread, Stainless Steel and the large flat head is exactly what I needed. After going through the SECOND hurricane in less than a year (Mattew and Irma), like others here along the East coast of central Florida, hardware was damaged and needed to be replaced. The price and quality of the hardware is very good and allows replacement of damaged hardware when the next hurricane pushes into Florida. Suggestion: I found that a #3 phillips (blunt) driver bit works GREAT to quickly drive these screws in and remove them with my screw gun.

Used these to secure wall and ceiling panels in a van conversion.
