Excellent value
I’ve spent a lot of money on acoustic pickups, each one claiming to be the best. LR Baggs (internal microphone), Fishman (professionally installed bridge piezo), Lace (magnetic), AKG (external mic), and other boutique solutions promising exceptional sound. Every one has been a disappointment. So when I saw this thing, I thought, “what the hell, it’s only $10, might as well see how it compares.”So how does it compare? This thing has absolutely no business sounding this good. It’s shocking, and a bit frustrating, but there it is. In my opinion it sounds as good or better than pickups costing 30 times more. So, if you are like me and you’ve been disappointed by other solutions, you might want to give it a try.

Easy, Functional
Plug and play, comes with sticky tape for the pickup and sticky Velcro for the port. Sounds alright but no volume control. Great value.

Sounds better with a little work-around
I have a small travel Johnson guitar. Placing this pickup on the front got a weak tinny sound through the amp. But I noticed when I touched it, the sound signal was louder, fuller, much more bass, pretty decent. Maybe a grounding thing, I assume? Anyway it occurred to me to put it on the back, since the guitar rests against my chest / stomach, and in that way it gets the benefit of the grounding's sound boost (even through my shirt). Noise from contact with the pickup is minimal when seated, not moving around. This way is much better than trying to somehow continuously touch it with my picking/strumming hand while playing. (Given the low price, and my intentions with the device, this work-around works for me. I am not sure there are any as reasonable options for this guitar given its construction). For me now, if I travel and want to go to an open mic and can't borrow a guitar, this will work and sound decent, as long as keep it pressed up against me, which I do anyway when playing.

It works but...
Just sticking on the body of your acoustic guitar only gives you about half of its potential volume. The pickup needs to be firmly pressed to the body. I was able to rig it up so it works good. I think I'll get a different one for the guitar and put this one on my mandolin. It's worth the 10 bucks.

AMAZING FOR THE PRICE!!
My wife bought me a guitar for Christmas, but she thought it was acoustic/electric but it wasn't. She was so sad but I loved the guitar and that she went and did that for me. So I told her not to worry that there were ways to make it electric. So i started looking here found various pickups! So many different ranges in prices. Since i had never tried a pickup before i decided lets go cheap just in case. TO MY SURPRISE THIS LITTLE GUY IS AWESOME!!! To top it off when ordered you get two!!! These little pickups are awesome no battery needed so don't have to worry about charging or changing batteries out. The pickup sticks perfectly to the guitar no damage or anything to the guitar but that sucker is stuck on there! So easy to install took me 1 minute! Functions great doesn't pick up unnecessary sounds just what i play on the guitar. Yeah i have a wire across the body of the guitar but my guitar is black so kind of disappears so looks great. Highly recommend and i know you will be just as satisfied as i am.

Good little condenser mic. Great for mandolins or other instruments with no round sound hole.
This pickup was exactly what I wanted for my mandolin. We have been recording tracks and I needed to give the instrument some "punch". It was too quiet in comparison with the other instruments. This was the ticket. It is, what it is, though. Do not expect more than it can do. If you are looking for a reasonable condenser mic, which can be simply attached and will not damage your instrument. Then this is what you are after. It is simply a microphone, round in shape, which you attach to the body of the guitar, or whatever, and it picks up and amplifies that sound. All sound. Voices, whatever. As long as you are aware of its limitations and uses you're good to go.

It’s a microphone
I bought this as a gift for my daughter to use with her acoustic guitar. It works great and allows her to plug her acoustic up to her amp for some electro acoustic fun!

Funciona muy bien.
Funciona muy bien con bluetooth, el velcro si es de muy mala calidad, pero yo use double sided tape, y quedo muy bien.
