It's good flavour for the price.
It is not a top notch Da Hong Pao, however, for the oustandingly cheap price that it has, i have virtually no complaints at all, the leaves themselves are just bad quality tho, you can see it, and feel it, and in the flavour itself you can taste that the company tries to overcompensate a lack of flavour but of course that again... at that price per gram, there's nothing best that can be done for it, still, for the flavour, it's the sweet woody smoke chocolate flavour of Da Hong Pao, and might be better to pair it with a good Purple clay teapot (Zisha ChahĂş), to enhace the flavour and to season the teapot cheaper. and there's a l

Left a bad taste!
Left a bad taste in my mouth, not only is it poor quality, it tastes like it was in a bush fire. I’ve had good smoky teas, and this doesn’t even come close to a bad one.

Solid D- loose leaf. You don't buy this because it's quality.
9g leaf to 100ml 195f water gong fu style, so I can't speak on western style brewing.Don't get me wrong, it's better than a store-bought teabag. The style SHOULD BE roasty, rocky. I feel like 90% of the life of this tea has been stripped away. The dry leaves look and smell nice in a hot gaiwan with a good bit of fudge, but simply rinsing the leaves kills 95% of it. Leaves are dead after 60 seconds of contact with water.I'm happy the bag is big, because these leaves are all but devoid of flavor and texture. Zero mouthfeel even at potion-level infusion.Something tells me this is low altitude tea grown next to a highway. Very high likelihood of heavy pesticides.

Normally for this money
Normal tea for every day, nothing more. Excellent for its price. It doesn't have the rich taste of a good Da Hong Pao, but you shouldn't expect it for the price, it's not the worst I've had.
