UPDATE 01/22/2016: Customer Service from Precision Kitchenware contacted me, was super nice in their communication, and once they had my info, they promptly issued me a refund. I wish I could give two separate reviews - one for the seller (5+ stars) and one for the marker (1 star). The rep was surprised I had trouble with the marker, so maybe I just got a defective one. I HIGHLY recommend this seller!ORIGINAL REVIEW: The description says "concentrated liquid prevents running and dripping", but that's not my experience at all. The first time I used it, I depressed the tip once and ink came pouring out. When I tried writing with it, it was like writing with white-colored water. I thought maybe I just needed to keep trying, but each time I depressed the tip, a puddle of water-ink was left on the paper. I would return it, but unfortunately I bought it 3 months ago, am now just using it, and the return window is closed. Argh. Lesson learned (i.e. try things out as soon as you get them). I discovered a Chalk Ink Wet Wipe Marker in my stash of stuff and that works perfectly...another lesson learned (i.e. check stash before ordering).

Ill be buying more.

SuperChalks White Liquid Chalk Marker Pen - 4mm Reversible Tip - ONLY SUITABLE FOR NON POROUS SURFACES I purchased this pen to use on my non-porous peel on a chalkboard on the door of the fridge. What I learned/recommend:1. Store pen vertically instead of horizontally - laying pen flat seems to dry out the liquid.2. Works better when writing horizontally instead of vertically - using a pen to write on fridge door "peel on chalkboard" simply does not work since no way to press down on the vertical surface.3. Reversible tips are useful BUT I really prefer/need a fine tip liquid chalk pen.4. It does a good job on food labels for glass food storage containers BUT letters on the labels last longer if you hand wash the jar/bottle rather than putting them in the dishwasher.5. At 77 with MAJOR arthritis crippling my finger joints I was seeking a simple solution to making a shopping list note when I I was running low on items - AND since I am a visual rather than an auditory learner I need to See it in print so I can remember it.My solution - for now - is to try out some "Shopping List APPS" on my phone. Overall great product. Writes smooth, clean and bright white lines. It does rub off easy if you wet it when you are applying it fresh, but if it sits for a while it does not come off. I thought I would be able to reuse my chalkboard sign for another event but I don't think so. When I wet it after it sat on the sign for 2 days the top bright white layer came off but you can still see the wording, just looks faded now. Overall great product. I'd love to know if it is meant to dry permanent? Arrived on time. If I knew that It would come off for future use I would have given it 5 stars. I was very impressed that the company sent me a follow up email to make sure the product was everything I was hoping for. I have not had time to respond until now. Thank you, keep up the good work.

I love this chalk marker. I purchased a bunch of storage containers and was temporarily using yellow post-its to label them. It was always bothering me but I didn't know why. Finally, I was inspired by Pinterest to label using "Chalkboard Labels". But I hated the feeling of using real chalk. So when I purchased the Chalkboard Label from Amazon it paired the item up with this Chalk Marker and so I purchased both at the same time. The merchant sent me an email warning you can't use this with certain type of surface and they are willing to offer a refund if it wasn't what I was looking for. I thought that was great customer service to educate the consumers. The markers worked great on the labels. It has a chiseled edge so I was able to use it as calligraphy style or just with plain block letters. Hope this helps.

I ordered this marker to use in my pantry. I am very pleased with the durability of the chalk. I am able to erase any writing with a damp cloth, but none of my labels have been accidentally erased with all the shuffling that happens when moving containers around.As you can see, there is a warning that this marker should not be used on porous surfaces. It is a clear and upfront warning. I was surprised to receive an email from the company almost immediately after ordering, making sure I realized the marker should not be used on porous surfaces and offering me a chance to cancel my order if I did not realize this. I am hard-pressed to name one other company that would proactively try to help customers (I'm sure it saves them many headaches, as well) and not just react with a "you should have read the description" when receiving complaints later.I would love to see a smaller tip available.I would happily recommend this product and company to anyone.

As mentioned on the pen, it can take a minute for the ink to start flowing. So after shaking the pen as recommended, I lightly pressed it at an angle on a piece of regular paper to help the ink start flowing. I would recommend not pressing to hard, because as other reviewers have mentioned you might flatten out the tip.I also practiced writing with the pen on regular paper before using it on my chalkboard label. I think this helped make sure I got my label right the first time around and gave me some idea of how fast or slow the ink flowed when writing.I would recommend this product for similar projects.And FYI- My pen came with a card for a website download of a "liquid chalk guide" that list several other uses/projects that can be done with the pen. I am excited to try a few of these projects in the future with this pen!
