Well made looks great!
This is well made with thick cedar covering a normal metal mailbox hidden inside. It came with mounting wood and screws assuming you already have a post. I replaced the bottom mounting board with a pressure treated board as the included board was not cedar - but other than that this is a very nice mailbox that should hold up for years (I always stain mine with a high quality deck stain).

I opened the box and examined the mail box
it smells nice and looks very well constructed with very good cedar wood --- packaged very nicely in strong cardboard box and cushioned with nice plastic bag to protect the wood. When I get a chance going to seal and stain the wood and polyurethane ---- and then in the Springtime I will remove my existing mailbox and install the new one out front on my existing post,,, then I can update this review with a picture of how nice it looks

Great looking and well built, but...
This is a very well built mailbox. Fully cedar lined with a standard sized metal mailbox hidden within. This isn't a plug and play box, you have to do some work to get it mounted. If you currently have a standard sized mailbox mounted on a post. and it's in good condition, you "MAY" be able to just unscrew the old box, place the new box on top of the wood that was holding the previous box in place, screw it in ,and you're done.If you are starting from scratch you will need to cut a piece of wood to fit into the bottom of the new mailbox,(I would recommend using a scrap piece of deck board approximately 18in long) then screw that piece to your post/arm. Next put the mailbox on top of the newly screwed in board with 4 screws, and in theory you are done. Most importantly, since the sides of the cedar box are made from tongue and groove boards the bottom most piece you need to drive the side screws through is very flimsy (due to the groove being right in the way). I found out the hard way. I ended up having to cut thin pieces of wood to fit into the grooves near the screw holes (about 4 inches long for each hole) then used waterproof glue to glue them in place. I did this to keep the grooved wood from getting crushed when I tightened the screws to hold the mailbox to the post. You will understand better with the mailbox in hand, look at the grooves and where the screws go through. If the grooves aren't in the way, good for you.I also put a two coats of Thompsons water seal on the entire box. I suspect I will be doing that on a yearly basis. Or you could leave it alone and let it age gracefully. The box comes with ZERO instructions or mounting hardware.
