Does not work with Andersen crank from 1991 although it’s supposed to
Doesn’t fit our Anderson crank from 1991. Should be the replacement for the Andersen part # 0532408 however the design on what we received is different than the Andersen one and it does not fit. Of course it’s outside of the return window so we have no use for it. Guess I’ll just go through Andersen to buy the OE part.

Cheaper in the stores...
Handle is great! it fits well and matched my other Anderson window handles 100%My only reason for not leaving 5 stars is that I found I can get the same exact crank 2 dollars cheaper in the store so it took some wind out of my sail when I thought I was getting a great deal that I was over paying by 2$.

Works well, but...
These cranks worked well on our 30 year old Anderson casement windows. They are practically identical to the original handles. The only problem I ran into was that the machining on the replacement handles was probably not as tight as on the original Anderson handles. When I first installed it (piece of cake) and turned the crank, there was a crunching sound where the base on the handle met the stem sticking out from the operator. You could see little pieces of paint and metal coming off when you turned the crank. This was easily remedied by untightening the screw, pulling the handle out just a fraction of an inch, and retightening. Now it works like a charm.Other than that, I don't see that there is much that can go wrong with this. JUst lubricate or use WD-40 on the mechanism every now and then, and you should be good to go.

Superb handle of very high quality
These handles fit my 1991 Era Anderson windows perfectly. These new handles greatly improved how easily my Anderson windows open and close. The spline in the original handles had worn and were not engaging the crank well. The color of the new handles is also a perfect match. The handles are a very high quality and the price is fantastic. If you are considering replacing your Anderson windows because they have become hard to open and close, please consider first replacing this crank handle and also lubricating the pivot mechanism.

Best choice for Anderson window replacement parts
Over the 30 years we've been in our house, we've managed to lose some of the Anderson window cranks. We're getting ready to sell, so it was time to replace them. I went online and looked a variety of places, but hands down these were the best value. They arrived yesterday (6 of them!) and were all quickly installed. They look exactly like the originals and work perfectly. This was a wonderful choice at a great price.

I finally got a handle on it ...
I rent an apartment that I became the repair man for the whole house. After contending for a year with semi stripped handles I bought these as a replacement . They were super easy to install with a Philips screwdriver. One thing I'll recommend and I'll probably have to do it , is replace the entire window hardware . Once that male gear attachment that the handle goes over is in bad condition , the new handle can only do so much . Youll still find some play in it even tightening it real hard . Best wishes everyone .

Does not fit Crestline casement window crank post.
Bought this hoping the screw tip would be compatible with my Crestline casement window crank but it isn't. The screw is a phillips head and the tip is flat, not pointed. The Crestline window crank post is knurled and its original crank has a pointed tip (very sharp) screw that wore down and doesn't fit into the knurled post edge. Also the replacement screw width is fairly thick which means it was probably intended to be used where a post HOLE exists for it to match/fit into, not just touch a surface flatly or on a contour.

Great replacement handles
We have a bay casement window in our family room addition from the last 70’s/early 80’s...the handles had broken and the screws had become stripped. Since the window is so old, cranking with a broken handle had become impossible for me since I have arthritis in my hands. I didn’t even think it would be possible to replace these, so I was delighted to find them on Amazon! They fit perfectly and are doing their job well!
