Easy to install (depending on where the light will be used). Ours is above the sink in a recessed ceiling area between two kitchen cabinets and behind a decorative piece of scalloped wood. Working in tight quarters with limited visibility an over the sink made installation much more difficult. Of course this is no fault of the product.The product does not come with fastening hardware. Only two fasteners are required to mount the light. However, I chose to use four fasteners. Four anchors were needed to make sure the bolts were held tight in the ceiling dry wall. Electrical fastening nuts were provided to connect the electrical wiring to the house wiring.About 3/8 inch of additional space is needed on each long side of the light base in order to allow the diffuser to be installed. It must be able to slide in for the lips of the diffuser to rest on the mating lips of the light base.The LED lighting is in the form of light strip tape. Therefore, there are no light bulbs that need to be installed or replaced. Unless there is some way to replace the LED light strip tape with an appropriate equivalent, the light fixture will have to be replaced. The paperwork suggests this might be necessary in about 13 years.

I LOVE this 2 ft. Long LED light for my kitchen! It is so bright as you can see in before and after pics. If I would have gotten the 4 ft. Size it would have been too big. If you're looking for a nice polished, easy to install, hard wired light then THIS is the one for you. With that said.. spend another 10 bucks and get a dimmer switch unless you like feeling like you're in an operating room..ha ha ha. Its extremely bright. So, with the dimmer switch I bought at the same time it's more enjoyable. I like that we can each use our own level of brightness.It took my husband 20 mins tops to install this one and put our old one in the hallway. So if you've done this before it's the same 3 wires. For the price I'd get another one for my laundry room. The brushed nickel is beautiful. Hope this helps anyone looking at this light.

The light is very stylish and very suitable for a modern kitchen.There are three things I want to remind people about this light:1. It is a fairly big light, but do not image it to be too big. The size is 2 foot. If you want a light that is same size and traditional kitchen light, you need to find something that is 4 foot long.2. There will be a gap between the light top and the ceiling, visually. It is just by design, but it may not be the one you wanted.3. The brightness is OK, but if I can choose again, I will get an LED light with ~35-40W. 28W is OK but not perfect.Anyway for this price, I have no complain whatsoever...

This light is a little expensive but it was a perfect replacement for my dim, outdated light over the kitchen sink. Lots of light now and super easy to install.

We ordered this LED lighting after researching options on-line to replace our failing kitchen fluorescent. Couldn't be happier as it arrived quickly, the installation was easy, it provides better and more lighting, looks more elegant, was a great price, and saves on energy. My wife was skeptical due to the smaller size, but it more than adequately replaces the four lamp fluorescent and with better lighting not to mention the energy savings to be gained. So happy with this purchase and may order more to replace additional incandescent lighting in our house.

I bought this to replace a older style tube light over the kitchen sink. The light was easy to install its very bright and stylish. I would recommend adding a quality made dimmer switch as well. I purchased both as to dim or brighten the light to our needs. The light seems to be made of high quality materials and built to last a long time. I am very pleased and would highly recommend this light to upgrade or replace older style fixtures to anyone.

This was a perfect replacement for a defective LED fixture in our kitchen. This light is a nice bright white light and provides plenty of illumination over the counter in our kitchen. Hubby and I were able to remove the old fixture and install this one pretty quickly. We did drill an extra hole in it to pull the wires through, since the previous light fixture was attached through the center. so we used the bolt attachment from the previous light to attach the light to the ceiling using the center hole then pulled the wires through our newly-drilled hole. it all worked out great and we couldn't be happier.The design is perfect and looks great in our kitchen.

I’m a master electrician who’s installed commercial & residential lighting for 28yrs. Lithonia is a respected brand that makes quality products. This fixture is no exception. This will be a simple, straightforward install for anyone qualified. It is a <$100 LED strip, so yes it’s made in China (they all are) and the finish will probably have minor imperfections. You’ll never see them once it’s on the ceiling. Reviews listed on here by DIY’ers are hilarious. “Didn’t include mounting screws”, “cover just clips on base”…these folks obviously have limited lighting experience. Watching a home renovation TV show doesn’t make one an electrician.

exactly what I wanted. The brightness is awesome. Had a dark kitchen, tried different lights didn't put out the light this did. this light is amazing. very decorative also. lots of compliments.
