Outlet for new electric fireplace.

It works great, im not sure im using correctly but it did the job.Very happy to have it in my tool box!

Works well, but clean it first!
The G-B mini snake works great. The spring-steel snake is thin and flexible, making it easy to maneuver in tight spaces. The only issue is that the snake itself was coated with a dark machine oil, apparently to prevent corrosion. Before using it, I had to wipe the snake thoroughly to prevent the oil from getting on the carpet, walls, expensive audio equipment and speaker wires (see photo).

SLICK. Finally got around to using this and it worked great. Went exactly where I pushed it through insulation. A nice tool to have in the arsenal.

Tricky to unwind, but works fine after that
This unit is okay, but tricky to unwind. Here's my take:PROS:* Good length for running cables up/down walls, even two stories (from attic to ground floor, for example).* The tip has a hole which allows you to use a zip-tie to attach cables.* The crank winds the tape back in easily.* It is small and basically does what it says.CONS:* This is very, very difficult to unwind. I first tried to unwind this thing in my attic but gave up. This tool needs THREE HANDS to unwind - one to hold the handle, one to hold the tool itself, and another to pull the tape out. It's a huge pain. IN the end I had to hold the tool with my legs, and use my other hands to try to unwind it. It was slow, but I finally got it. Now I unwind the unit FULLY before I plan on using it.
