Works well, easy to install and use

Needed additional handset. This went right to work. Good range.

Panasonic wants recurring automatic monthly fees.
Phone works well, easy to setup and pair. My problem is with Panasonic. I'm trying to find out how to activate Bluetooth, but we have to sign up with Panasonic for recurring monthly fee to get any technical answers. All access to information is removed. I'll just use speaker phone option.

Perfect Add-On To Panasonic Phone System
If you have a Panasonic KX-TGD53x series phone system, this is a perfect addition, or replacement of a phone on the system.It includes the phone, its rechargeable batteries, the base, and the AC adapter. For whatever reason the box says “Requires optional base”, so when you see the box you may think “What, no base???” But it’s there. Saying something required optional is a bit silly anyway.The phone is easy to register to an existing system. Mine did it as soon as it powered up, but if it doesn't you can also press the ‘Locate’ button on the main phone base.The phone also downloaded all the existing contacts I had on the existing phones.Sound is great, good volume, and the buttons are big and bright.Good phone for the price.

Easy setup
I added this to my system. Just had to charge the unit, put it on my base unit, press the locator button, and I now have my phone book and all settings on my new handset.

Great extra cordless phones
I have a two-story house and don't like to carry my cell phone around with me, although there are some calls that I have to answer (i.e., not return the missed call). Solution -- cordless landline. I decided that I wanted additional sets to scatter around, and these work perfectly. Connecting them to my base unit took only seconds. Not only can I get to the phone in time, I can also block nuisance calls.

no instructions/unclear set-up
The phone says to press and hold the "locator" on base for a few seconds. What is/ where is this "locator"? Does not show how on any video. So, useless....will not charge!

Very easy to add to an existing system
After determining the correct handset and reading the installation instructions I pulled the trigger and bought this for an older friend. Once I turned on the handset I had to press a button on the base unit and then follow the instructions on the handset. It could not have been easier.
