Before I give my review, a lot of reviews state the toolbox arrived severely damaged … dented … and it’s not sufficiently protected by the shipping box. My toolbox was delivered by FedEx. The shipping box showed no damage. I felt the corners were sufficiently protected by metal inserts. I did have a scratch on the lid (no, it wasn’t self-inflicted by opening with a box cutter … the scratch is off-center and nowhere near where the box top was taped). The toolbox suffered the scratch before it was boxed. Otherwise, it arrived in perfect shape.Please read the item description - it’s a ‘lightweight’ toolbox. It only weighs *28 lbs*. Reviews clearly indicate it’s made of ‘thin aluminum’. Everything stated is 100% spot-on.This toolbox is for the Average Joe. The Weekend Warrior. It’s for someone who needs extra space to store some tools. Throw a socket set into it. Maybe protect small items from the store-to-home from getting wet or blowing out of the bed? Maybe throw a tarp in it, store ratcheting straps, bungee cords, etc.?This is *not contractor’ grade! My Dee Zee toolbox in my 3500 HD is heavy-duty, thick aluminum & has storage trays in the top for hand tools. If you purchase this, you are NOT getting that.I bought this to put into a hitch cargo carrier to give me more storage in my ‘Adventure Van’ (off-grid conversion van). And it’s perfect for that. It has a more-than-sufficient latch & (2) surprisingly strong struts to open & support the lid. And I like the fact it’s lightweight so it’s easier to load & unload from the hitch cargo carrier.In summary: it looks sharp. It’s well-made. It’s an awesome value. But it’s a LIGHT-DUTY box … not made for contractors or heavy applications. It’s more than suitable for ‘most’ of us.

The tool box that fits all your tools. Really large capacity and is very comfortable to transfer. I really liked the quality of the tool box. The handles and latches works well. I also liked the color and outlook of the box. Very shiny. Cant complain about the product and its worth the money.

This is a great truck bed tool box. Only issue is the latch sometimes doesn't latch. We have to mess with the latch on the lid to get it to stay shut. But for the price I am not complaining

This toolbox arrived undamaged. I had read a lot of reviews noting how much shipping damage was done to the toolbox. Not the case for this one. The shipping box did have one puncture that did not damage the toolbox. I noticed when unpacking the toolbox that every corner top and bottom corner had a piece of metal protecting the toolbox.The toolbox is thin and the latching mechanism leaves something to be desired. But the only again this was the cheapest 48 inch wide toolbox that comes with lid struts instead of chains. This toolbo will be mounted in a pickup bed protected by a locking tonneau cover.For the price of this tool box it's a good deal at a fair price.Quality seems OK, a little better than the typical chinesium quality.This toolbox will not keep the bad guys out, but will help you get better organized.

Extremely flimsy and the latch mechanism is about as secure as a paper bag. The box is so flimsy I can push the corner of the lid and it opens right up. I spent about an hour adjusting the latch and there’s no decent way to get it to stay closed. When driving down a rough road it will open on its own. I’m going to have to put a different latching system in it all together. Absolutely do not recommend

Great toolbox for the price. Fits under the truck bed cover and is a good place to hold all my tools.

I don't do reviews ever. I read them but don’t do them but this thing is a $160.00 flimsy box. Showed up dented could have replaced it that’s on me because I’m impatient. But the bolt for the latch broke off while I was adjusting it to close and latch properly. Maybe my fault maybe not. But there’s no way to fix that without having someone who can weld super thin diamond plate. So had to drill a hole in the top for a new bolt again that’s on me. Just sayin’ super flimsy I don’t think it’s going to hold up on the front of my rv as my new battery box. I have other diamond plated truck bed toolboxes that I’ve had for 18 years. This thing never going to make it that long but it’s also half the price of a quality box. So take what you will from it.

The tool boxes look great, have a very strong air cylinder for help open the box. The materials used to make the box is thinner that what I had expected, but I think will work great for our application. They had spring loaded handles on the sides of the box.They include a keyed lock for added security.
