I bought this for my dog's bed. I am confident that it is durable enough to stand up to her constant pawing and movement. She is an elderly dog who sometimes leaks urine in her sleep. I like that the zipper is positioned approx an inch from the end seam. There is no way urine can leak into her bed because I make sure it is zipper side down when I change her bedding. BTW... Her beds (in every room) are bed pillows and her "bedding" is pillow shams - quilted when I can find them. This way, she always has a nice clean bed. I now have vinyl pillow protectors on all her beds. No doggie smells here...

I have used them fir a month and one of them is separating at the seam. The product should be constructed better!

Nice breathable material. Wasn't sure on the sizing. Purchased king size with intent of folding excess over inside pillow case if too big. fitted well.

My office needed more pillow protectors. Since we are a medical office, we needed something that would protect the pillow underneath the paper pillow cover, and that could be easily wiped down with disinfectant if needed. This product seems to meet our needs so far. The vinyl is softer and has more "give" to it than some of the other covers we have used, and while it is not opaque, it does seem like it will be very durable. If office use leads to the vinyl degrading or ripping, I will update. I'd also like to note that this pillow protector will fit even a generously sized over-stuffed standard pillow. But, just to be clear, you only get ONE pillow protector with your order. The "Q&A" for this product on Amazon led me to believe that you would get TWO pillow protectors, and that is not accurate at all.

Cheap plastic and noisy. Fell apart quickly, not happy with them at all. Sorry

This pillowcase works for me! I have a 14-year-old little dog who has a problem controlling his urination. Every time he would PeeI would have to wash the bedding ,the pillow and everything in it. With this protector I now have a clean pillow inside of it and if he pees on the pillow case, I take it off- wipe down the plastic pillow cover and everything else -and I’m able to put the bed back together nice and clean. But I don’t have to constantly wash the pillow. So that helps a lot! I have tried others- they are not waterproof-with this one- water does not go through. So thankful. (I have a standard pillow in the crate )

Great product! Looked like new after washing. Very comfortable…excellent protection.

(Note: I've updated my review below)I received ONE standard sized pillow protector (I know some reviewers said they received a 2 pack.) The brand I received is "Royal Mystique."It seems fine, but $7-ish is overpriced for a small single pillow protector. Try protecting your pillow using a plastic garbage bag with tape first and see if you like that better.I may or may not get a 2nd one. Mine is fine. Zipper is fine. Vinyl doesn't have any more odor than a child's new doll might. I left it unzippered a little to let air in and out so it's not a big balloon. I don't notice any problematic crinkly texture or noise beneath the pillowcase. If you have someone who is super sensitive to that, maybe put a quilted pillow protector over this, and then a pillowcase. That cloth protector might still get damaged, but the pillow would still be in the vinyl protector, and that's the real thing that's difficult to wash.I'm on the fence about this. It's not a bad product. It seems fine. But way overpriced for just a single protector. Will have to see how it holds up over time.UPDATE 8-27-14Adding to my original review and downgrading it to 1 star. I originally titled this "It's ok. Overpriced IMO." Now I've changed the title to "Don't buy." I've had a couple of problems since I bought this a few months ago.1) I had an allergic reaction to it. It took me a couple of weeks to figure out what was causing the rashes on my neck, hands, and parts of my arms (which I often put under the pillow.) Turned out to be this pillow cover - even though I had a regular pillowcase over it. I laundered it and it was fine after that - allergy wise. So definitely launder these before use.2) It's only been a few months since I bought this, and yesterday when I was changing my sheets I noticed this case had ripped along one of the sides. It's had no unusual treatment. I sleep on it. I did launder it once, shortly after I got it, and the case seemed fine after that. I don't know why it ripped. It wasn't caught on anything, there's nothing sharp near it. The pillow inside was not oversized. The case just arbitrarily split on one side.My advice is, try another brand or use a plastic garbage bag and tape it closed. I didn't mind this case overall (once it was laundered) but it should last more than 3 months of normal use. Money down the drain.
