Excellent product a bit cumbersome to put up as single extending ladder owing to being heavier than conventional ladder and look out for fingers taking down but very stable and usable once in place used on stairwell and to paint front of house and it fits in the car so goes anywhere you want it no roofrack needed.. great.

Used this ladder for first time and found it very useful as I do not have a van to transport log ladders and it easily fitted into the back of my suv.Unstacking the ladders, as in, releasing the steps to extend the ladder was easy, although probably better if two people doing it. Still, I was on my own and managed easily enough and soon had the ladder to full extension and using it up the side of a building.I was fairly uneasy going up the ladder as I was not sure whether the rungs would collapse in on themselves but they stayed firm and even at the top, I felt secure.The ladder does give and bend a little in the middle when it is fully extended but it’s good enough for my needs.Putting it down again was a bit of an issue as I couldn’t initially retract the rungs but once the ladder was in a V shape, each side seemed to have to be done alternately before the rungs retracted and even though I managed to get it back down to a size that could fit back in the boot of the car, I could not get it down to the size it was at on delivery. I’ll try again when I have a spare moment.I would buy again and I would recommend this item.

Waited a few days to rate the ladder until I actually used it. It's absolutely fabulous; does everything it's supposed to do. Used it to get into the attic crawl space. Its flexibility allowed me to extend it to reach the access panel and then extend up to store things in the attic. It folds up to an incredibly small size that can sit behind my chair in the living room, completely unseen and ready for use. A brilliant apartment/small house design for a large useful ladder that stores smaller than a step stool. Excellent all around and very reasonably priced.

Used this to insulate my loft. I needed to get to a 3.6m height but the ladder needed to get through my loft hatch. Because this ladder had a 2.5m apex and retracts down to the size of a carry on suit case I chose it to do the job. It worked as expected. People complained about it being unstable and yes if you lean or reach excessively to one way or anther it can move around but no more than a fixed step ladder would. I think some people lack a bit of common sense it a lot of cases. If you want a ladder that can be retracted don’t use the fact it retracts as a complaint. If you want a fixed ladder, buy a fixed ladder. This ladder worked well for the job I bought it for and I had the feet resting on Roof joists (so no room for error), I felt safe and stable through out the job.

An very versatile piece of well-made equipment which takes little space (would easily fit in the boot of a tiny car) and will be extremely useful to us. All this at a very reasonable price! Apart from advising anyone to take careful note of the instructions on closing it down, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Definite value for money.

Telescopic ladders have their quirks, but I feel there are major flaws with this ladder that actually make it dangerous to use.For example, as a step ladder, most people would to prefer to extend the ladder from the bottom, making it easier to climb and not having to take a huge first step, leaving the collapsed sections at the top, where it wouldn't matter. Try that with this ladder and the top sections will open while you are standing on the ladder, and there is nothing you can do except jump off.This will happen to somebody eventually when they are quite high and I fear serious injury will result.Would it really be that hard to make the sections lock when they are collapsed also? To be honest, I expected better.Apart from that, it's an okay ladder, if you don't mind having to take a huge first step.

Has good reach and is quite strong. Flexible for normal ladder work or step ladder.Watch the closure as can drop rapidly. Wise to use sturdy gloves or a block of wood deeper than your fingers.When I used on the stairs used as a variable height step ladder I took my time to set it up. It wasn't easy on my own simply because of the weight when closed. So slowly and carefully and ideally another pair of hands or someone else there as a precaution.Disappointing the rungs don't lock in the closed position as lifting when maneuvering causes them to drop. There is an essential strap to use when carrying them. Some say heavy but I thought the weight was OK compared to regular ladders. Cannot use without the stabilizer bar in place so is wide at the bottom. Easier to store, transport and safer to walk around with.OK for occasional DIY use. Remember to risk assess and safety first.

After spending decades working on ladders I believe this product is a death trap, the rungs are plastic on each end and the catches don't work properly,if you do buy this product it costs more to return it in postage that it cost to buy,so they offered me 20% refund,I'm going to destroy it so nobody else will get injured using it. I have had to give it one star to submit this review , and to add to that i have know received 2 product recall letters, im surprised this product is still for sale, @ Amazon do you read these reviews?
