So far so good
I’ve had this printer for 3 days and so far so good.First I was surprised with the lack of “instructions”. There was none. No step by step on how to set it up, or even how to open it to install the ink. I mean no big deal cause everything is online anyways to yeeey saving paper am I right?!But in the end it was SO EASY!Like super easy.I mean. Using the app on my phone didn’t work which I don’t mind. I know most printers are now advertised as being easy to set up and print on YOUR PHONE, but I don’t use my phone to print ANYTHING. At all. I always install anything and everything I need through my computer so that worked for me.I tried the phone at first because the advertising got to me of course and u thought it would be easier but nope.It was very easy on the computer.I took seconds. The printer picked up the network quickly, connected and boom! Done.It printed beautifully too.Easiest printer SO FAR!But I’m gonna be real with you. This is the 3rd HP printer I deal with in less than a month. My first one never worked well. It would work once and then stop for MONTHS, while I’m paying instant ink and have a printer that doesn’t work. After spending a few days again trying to make it work I bought another one. Also HP.It just didn’t print in color. After a full weekend of troubleshooting HP automated help thingie said it was defective and had to be serviced. BRAND NEW, (not tango)So I just returned to.I wanted to stay away from HP because GRRRRRRR!So I started my research. What is the deal with home printers? No matter the brand, reviews are mostly bad.And why do they all have to be so big???? Home printers!!!!!! Don’t they get it that not everyone has the space to have a massive desk so they can house those huge printers????I know I don’t.So I was shopping for a small BUT WHITE printer. Had to be white because otherwise it won’t match the decor. 🤷🏽♀️ sue me!There are no small white printers out there.Other brands have smaller ones but they are all black. So I found the TANGO!I thought about it for a while. It had some very good reviews and some very bad.In the end of the day I will be honest with you! I picked the tango because of its size and appearance! This printer is aesthetically pleasing. Clean lines, perfect size. The box was light and small!I just kept my fingers crossed that it would work because honestly, I know I can’t find any other printer that would look so cute on my desk. The tango had to work! AND IT DID!!!!Beautifully!!!!I mean it’s been 3 days so let’s see for how long it will work.Fingers crossed.

Troubleshooting is TOUGH! But nice little printer
I got this printer to replace a 10 year old black and white laser printer that still works great but requires I manually connect with a USB. I have a newer mac now with a USB-C, and I wanted to move into wireless printing, color printing, and being able to print from my cell phone. The set up was super easy and worked great. Then printing got intermittent, I kept getting frequent 'printer is offline" messages, but plugging/ unplugging seemed to work. Then the printer went offline for good. Nothing I did worked. I couldn't print from my phone or any of the 3 connected computers. I spent over an hour with HP chatbot, not helpful. I loaded drivers. Followed the directions. Asked me to unplug/ reset, printer, router, computer, and to clear out all printers on my computer system preferences. No luck looking up the warranty at HP even though I got it 60 days ago, no phone support available ("unable at this time'). So I moved on to trusty rusty, AMAZON. The chat person here was very helpful and offered to return/ replace. However, as I was chatting I read through previous reviews on Amazon and noticed someone complained about having to PRINT troubleshooting instructions. SO. I printed the 'information page" and sure enough THERE IS LITERALLY A WIRELESS SETUP BUTTON ON THE BACK THAT WAS TURNED OFF. In all the troubleshooting instructions, none of them mentioned said button or suggested pushing it. I attached a picture so you can see how small it is, and how close to the power cord I was unplugging/ plugging. Once I did this, everything worked. I was able to re-add the printer to my preferences on my computer, I could print from my phone, all good. I did have to waste 3 pages of printer paper and ink to get it to work, which I agree is kind of silly. Now for the good... it is a sleek, small, quiet printer that I keep right in the dining room. It had very intuitive setup the first time around. It works great with Macs and my iphone. Not sure why it went from working well to working intermittently. I only print once or twice a week, so not sure if it goes to "sleep" or something like that is causing the problem. I will update the review if I continue to have intermittent connectivity issues.
