Fits and f250 2003 good but only last a couple years

Aside from having to trim down some of the plastic to fit, it did eventually work and it now works great.

The Amazon compatibility tool said it is not compatible with the Mazda B series trucks, but it is as they are all rebadged Ford Rangers. From the info in other reviews it seems like the round bushings are for the Ford/Mazda trucks, and the rectangular bushings are for Dodge trucks. This was also true for my case, I only used the round bushings for my Mazda B4000. The material is a bit hard, but so were the rotted OEM ones and they lined my tailgate up just like new.

Only 1 piece of the four fit my vehicle, listing says it is a fit for 2014 f150, it is not, worse yet the one piece that fit broke while installing.Update: the one piece that fit, has now broken beyond functionality

These are listed as being compatible with the 99-16 Ford Super Duty trucks, yet when I went to put it together, the retaining tabs on the cup would not fit in the hole they key into, and the plastic is so brittle one of the tabs broke off trying to force it in with some needle nose pliers. The remaining tab was enough to keep it in there until I could put the tailgate back on, and now it holds itself in without the tabs anyway, but that's ridiculous.So will it ultimately get the job done? Sure. Is it made specifically to fit this application without modification? Absolutely not, which is why I knocked two stars off.Which brings me to my thoughts on this brand in general. Sometimes Dorman is the only option out there other than an exorbitant dealer priced version, so I still buy it in spite of being burned like this so many times. Their quality is such that probably 3/4 of the time I'm getting either a part like this that barely works or something that doesn't work at all. I sometimes get great parts from them, so I know their suppliers are capable of making good stuff, but it's so inconsistent. I don't know why all of the parts stores carry these because they're basically the worst brand name in auto parts in my experience, and it's just as much of a crap shoot as buying random no-name parts off of eBay. Product returns on low quality parts can sink a retail business. They really need to work on upping their quality.

My tailgate was missing one for a very long time and the tailgate was difficult to close and open. After replacing the missing bushing and the old one on the other side the alignment is perfect and the tailgate opens and closes very well. Easy to do and often overlooked but makes a world of difference if yours are bad or missing. The fitment was absolutely perfect and I had zero issues installing. I have two extra bushings I'm assuming for dodge tailgate because the package says ford/dodge.

My tailgate was drooping at the pivot points. It also felt awkward to open or close. I installed these because my original bushing were completely disintegrated. After installing the bushings, the body line of the tailgate matched the truck bed. They also made the tailgate pivot smoother.Highly recommended!!!
