Fevicol is a brand of hardware products that are made in India. They offer a wide range of manufactured adhesives, sealers, and fasteners for wood, metal, and plastic. Fevicol is not only known for their hardware products, but also for their patented technology. The company's star product is Fevicol CP-5 which is used to fix loose joints of wood furniture. They also make C-5, a chemical-free sealant for exterior painting, as well as other products such as Glue Stick and Wire Nails. The Fevicol company was founded by Mr. Kishore Saxena in 1928 as a family business. In 1942, the company started to produce the first Fevicol Wood Glue in India. In 1953, Fevicol became the first Indian manufacturer to produce a plastic adhesive and sealant for the automotive industry. By 1958, they were producing a range of other chemical-free adhesives and sealants for metal and plastic industries. In 1964, Mr. Pratap Singh took over the management of the company from his father Mr. Kishore Saxena. In 1978, Fevicol began exporting their products to Africa and Europe where they quickly established themselves as a leading supplier of adhesives and sealants. In 1996, Fevicol became an ISO 9001:2000 certified company with offices in all major cities in India including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Pune.
