Millwall F.C. is an English professional football club in Bermondsey, South London, that competes in the EFL Championship, the second tier of English football. The club was founded in 1885 as Millwall Rovers by workers from J.T. Mortimer's canning and preserve factory in the Millwall area of the Isle of Dogs in London's East End. The club has played home matches at The Den since 1993, having previously played at Cold Blow Lane and The Old Den. The club's traditional kit consists of blue shirts, white shorts and red socks and their badge features a lion rampant. The club has a long-standing rivalry with West Ham United. Millwall's fans have often been associated with hooliganism, with various clubs' supporters often engaging in violent confrontations with one another. The club has also been the subject of much negative media coverage over the years due to the actions of some of its fans.
