Saniyasnain Khan is a Pakistani-American author and illustrator of children's books. Her first book was published in 2008, "I am Not My Hair". "I Am Not My Hair" is about a young girl who sees herself as a traditional Muslim hijab-wearing princess but soon learns that she is not defined solely by her hair. Saniyasnain Khan also wrote a sequel titled "I'm Not My Hijab". In her most recent book, "The Day I Became A Princess", the main character comes to terms with the fact that she is not just defined by her hair.
