Ordered as a replacement for the same exact vent and it fits and installs easily without the adapter since we already had one in use before purchasing this item. I took off 1 star based on the product name since it was not 100% clear if this vent was the same model we already had. For anyone who just needs a replacement like I did the actual diameter of the threads that connect to an existing pipe adapter is 2-1/4 inches.

I did a remodel in my bathroom which did have trouble with draining and gurgling in the bathtub when flushing the toilet. With all the walls demoed and the vent piping exposed and finding I had a very tight space in the sink cabinet to correctly vent the sink drain, I decided to research how it should be vented. I found that this device could be used in places that the fixture needs a vent and for space or no vent pipe to roof is available. I decided to install this device and reading instructions found it was capable of providing large amounts of air to plumbing drains and approved by code. This device is all automatic and seals itself when the demand for air is not present and prevents sewer gas from entering the area. When I was able to actually test the device, I was amazed at how fast the fixtures drained. The sink drained very fast almost like the water was sucked down the drain. I then used this same device in the basement bathroom that uses a sewage pump to drain the fixtures. The problem was how do I put in a needed vent for the fixtures that would allow them to drain properly. I then installed this device in the small sink cabinet. When I tried all the fixtures they drain excellent ant I can even hear the seal of the device close slightly. Now this bathroom works great without very expensive routing of a vent pipe to the roof area, which would require snaking the pipe up three floors in existing walls to the roof.

These little white things are super cute. They match the plumbing plastic perfectly! They would have been very easy to install if I had known what I was doing, but unfortunately I ordered them in the wrong size and had to return.
