Sometimes simplicity is the answer. These make the cut. I've tried wax earplugs - they are good for one night, then they warm up and lose the shape and it's difficult to reshape them once they thin out to fit your ear canal once. I've tried custom-made, molded-to- your-ear-canal earplugs - they are EXCELLENT for anything else BUT sleeping - silicone is still too hard of a material - I didn't realize that when you sleep with your head on a pillow, you smoosh and squeeze your ear canal and EVERYTHING moves there at night - silicone custom-made earplugs that fit me so well when I'm standing or sitting (they take a mold of your ear when you are sitting up), when you lay down, they simply hurt. Now THESE are the best solution so far. They are soft, pliable, washable AND you can custom carve them with scissors ANY way you like. I got smaller ear canals, so I cut 1/3 of the length off and cut a groove out from top to bottom to make them compress into a thinner shape when I insert. Perfecto. Simple. Cheap. Work. And yes, washable and reusable.

I recently moved in with my partner and he snores like a train. It’s been really disrupting of my sleep so bad that some nights I’ve taken to sleeping on the couch. I tried the Loop Quiet 2 ear plugs because they had some of the best ratings but at the same time ordered these just in case. For roughly $4, what did I have to lose. The loops did not work for me. Too uncomfortable (I am a side sleeper) and blocked out no noise whatsoever. Immediately returned those and tried these. Instantly I was blown away. The second you put them in your ear it reduces almost all noise. I sleep with an industrial fan by my bedside to keep cool and I enjoy the bit of white noise it provides as well but even right beside my head the noise was completely muted. I am shocked at how well these worked for me considering the price. Because they’re foam they mold to your ear so you don’t need to bother with finding the right size and on top of that makes them super comfortable, it didn’t hurt to lay on either side. I’m so happy with this purchase, I feel like I can sleep soundly again. My only complaint is that these babies work so well, I’m afraid they’ll block out my alarm to get up for work!
