Grilled to perfection! This definitely does the perfect job with my burgers and pork chops. I've used George Foreman before and had consistent temperature issues in the past not here. This heats up and grills like a pro easily fits three large burgers or two XL pork chops.

I normally grill over charcoal. Based on the commercials, I thought that these were cheesy and inadequate products that I wouldn't want to have anything to do with, but I changed my mind after seeing one in action at a friend's house.The things I like the most about this grill are the speed and consistency. It warms up quickly (I timed mine at 2 minutes and 17 seconds), cooks from both sides, and accurately maintains a preset temperature. Once I figure out the ideal cooking time for a given product (i.e. pre-formed patties, frozen chicken breasts, etc.), the results are very consistent and repeatable. The cooking time is typically under 3 minutes for a hamburger (2.5 minutes if you like it on the rare side) or about 4 minutes (4 to 6 according to the manual) if you like it medium to medium-well. Since it cooks from both sides and is so consistent, I can just set a timer and let it do its thing without flipping the meat or babysitting it. It is also easy to clean using the included sponge (hint: use plain water, let the water soak in for a few seconds, and wipe gently when the grill is still warm).This model is on the small side. With average-sized (4 inch diameter) patties, only one will fit at a time. This is fine when cooking for an individual or two people since the cooking time is short, but you may want a larger model if cooking for a large family.I have used mine several dozen times now and see no sign of the Teflon wearing. It seems to be durable if you use plastic utensils and clean it by wiping gently with a soft damp sponge.The ridges, downward slope, and drip tray are helpful even when not cooking fatty foods. It produces better results with less effort than a frying pan in which the drippings may boil and steam the food or dry out and stick to the food. The flavor isn't quite as nice as grilling over charcoal, but is quite decent once you figure out the ideal cooking time. It is much more convenient than charcoal with the fast warm-up and relatively low fuel (electricity) costs. For a quick lunchtime burger or chicken breast, it is just perfect and produces much better results than I expected.

I travel for work often. Most of the week I am put up in a hotel. I really wanted to avoid getting into the habbit of fast food and stumbled across this ultra portable GF grill. This this is small, perfect for an individual, or even a couple. It fits in my suitcase and I bring it everywhere that I go.As for GF grills in general. They cook your food fast and get rid of and avoid the use of grease. Thin slice chicken breasts cook in about 5-7 minutes. This grill inparticular is large enough to cook two medium breasts with a half of sliced pepper behind it.Tip: I dampen a washcloth and put it on the grill (and close it) immediately after use (and after being unplugged). By the time i'm finished with my meal I simply wipe to clean. It takes no time to get it clean. Then, take that washcloth and soak it in the sink with some of the hotel shampoo. Ring it out a few times then let it sit in hot water while you eat. Its almost spotless after a few more rinses.Pros: Small, ultraportable. Quick, convenient, easy to clean.Cons: First unit came shattered (packaging not damaged). Amazon processed a quick replacement, however I still had to go to the post office to return the old one. I found this two-serving classic unit on sale. It is okay but it is a stretch to to refer to it as two-serving. The next week I bought the four-serving unit that has removable cooking surfaces.The four serving unit is more what I would expect a two-serving unit to be. I could NOT place two burger patties side-by-side on the two-serving unit. I kept both units but the four serving unit gets the most use when cooking for my wife and I.I have used the George Foreman grill to cook burgers, chicken breast, boned chicken thighs, cabbage steaks and bacon. The bacon requires turning to get evenly done. The bacon fat is well extracted by cooking this way though.I cut slices off of the cabbage head at about 1/2-3/4 inch thick. Then I brushed it with olive oil on both sides and sprinkled with garlic powder. After about 7-9 minutes of cooking, it is delicious as a side dish for any meal.I have also used the grill to make pressed breakfast sandwiches with a muffin, egg, bacon and cheese. The egg, of course must be precooked in a frying pan. The bacon is cooked on the George Foreman grill while the egg is being fried. It is just something a bit different for breakfast.The removable grill plates are much easier to clean than the fixed plates. Just the same, the fixed grill plates are not bad if cleaned while surface is still a bit warm. I had trouble getting burnt-on dried cooking debris off the fixed grill one time. I folded up a dish towel soaked in water and let it set between the closed grill plates for a few minutes. The debris wiped right off then.The heat is fairly even but thick items tend to cook faster near the hinge side of the grill. It helps to press the lid down onto the food for more even contact.

I am old enough to remember when everyone had one of these. When I ordered a new one my wife thought I was crazy. However, this is for making grilled cheese sandwiches and they are amazing. No butter, two slices of bread with cheese, four minutes. Well worth the $11.

Great product. Easy cleaning. The light goes off when done. Turns on while cooking.
