Q: Is this water resistant? I am needing a mat to out in my kitchen by my sink, to catch the water falling from the dishes

Hello Charlie,If you mean will water bead on top of and not soak into it, then no, it is not "water resistant." However, if you mean that the mat will not be ruined if water drips on it, then yes, this mat will be fine. It's about 4mm thick, has a felt top and rugged, non-skid backing so it will stay in place in front of your sink. We actually have the Sunflower on Black mat in front of our kitchen door (the most used door at our house!) and even with our Upstate New York weather (currently raining,) soggy fall leaves, wet/muddy shoes and dog paws it's in great shape. Sure, it gets grubby at times but I can sweep it, rinse it off with mild, liquid soap and water, let it dry and it's good to go. So, laying in front of your sink with a bit of water dripping on it...piece of cake!This mat has beautiful, vibrant colors. It's a good choice!Regards,Tracey PineRandom Selections

Q: Is this rug skid resistant?

Yes, it is skid resistant. I like the print on this rug, but I would not buy it again. It is very thin, light weights compared to others I paid much less for and like much more. I use 8 doormats all the time, this is my least favorite.

Q: Can i put this in front of sink and oven

Hello Rosa,Of course! It has a sturdy, non-skid backing that works well indoors and out. As others have said, it's not an anti-fatigue mat but will add a bit of a buffer between you and a hard floor. It's easily vacuumed and you can even scrub it right in the kitchen sink and hang it to dry if needed. Q: Not sure what Durgan is? Is this a rubberized backing?

Have to concur with the others -- it is a high quality backing but without the smell of rubber when warm -- it is washable and flexible -- great quality from top to bottom!

Beautiful design and easy to clean

I love the design and just ordered another mat from the same company. I like how it feels on my bare feet before I come inside So far it’s maintained the color and is easy to clean. I only have it for about a month and have it placed in front of my terrace door. It adds color to the small terrace.
