So I bought these switches because my middle child had a night table lamp with a chain switch and the other two were left out with push type buttons under the shade. I certainly do not like to reach under the shade and look for the silly button so when one of the kids asked if I could make her lamp like the other child, I got to work.Looked for it here on AMZ and found this switch. Ordered two, installed each in about 20 minutes taking all the precautions of not leaving wires exposed and so on. They work well, the mechanism is sturdy and it takes about 2/3 of a pound of effort to turn on or off. Now the chain hangs in front of the lamp body, very easily accessible and have all kids with the same kind of switch! Momma is also happy!

Like that these are simple and easy to install. Dislike that the chain is hard to pull and grates against the side of the socket. Not nearly as smooth as it should be, but not unusual for this type of pull switch.

This worked fine for me as a replacement in an a floor lamp of mine. It fits well and works, the pull chain is easy to use. It does look and feel cheaply made, but at this price point, I am perfectly happy with it.

I used this to replace an almost 50 year old lamp holder that was ironically manufactured by Leviton. This item did the job and I only used the inside parts.

Half the price of Home Depot, though not sure why these are so expensive. I bought five instead of four so I could get free shipping, and good thing I did because one died within two switch ons. They work but you can tell they're not top quality.They are easy to spray paint if you want them black or copper color, just stick a little spitball of toilet paper in the nipple hole and make sure the little allen screw is all the way in.

I bought them to replace the same item in a three bulb light. Pull chain switches are mechanically a problem unless they are very high quality switches. These Leviton are replacing very similar Leviton switches in a three-light lamp made in China. The original look almost identical to these, but are of inferior quality, and they broke after a couple of dozen on-off cycles. These will be turned on and off mostly from an external switch. Physical replacement of the base was straightforward but has to be done carefully -- or professionally [which will not be cheap].

The action of this lamp switch is smooth and turns the light bulb off and on successfully!!

Works great. Not much I can say really. Used Leviton products for years. Always works great.

Works as it should. Used it to fix 1 of a set of old lamps. For some reason, one of them was a pull-chain the othera push-button. Now, both lamps are pull-chains and most importantly, they both work.

A great replacement part for my lamp.
