Nice doors.
These doors are very easy to put together. They have a 1/4 inch piece of Styrofoam inside the cut grooves, leave them, they serve a purpose. If you want a stronger door use wood glue and follow the instructions. Just ordered 3 more.

I’m impressed.
Great quality wood. It was super easy and actually fun to put together. It reminded me of Lincoln Logs but resulting in a beautiful barn door! Well worth it. Durable materials, instructions were simple and the ability to stain or paint it however I want is a bonus, in my opinion.

Sturdy and Stylish, But Not a DIY Project for Everyone
I recently purchased the SmartStandard Sliding Barn Wood Door, and while it's a solid and visually stunning addition to my home, it's not for the faint of heart when it comes to assembly. Quality & Durability: The door is solid and made of quality spruce wood. It's built to last, which is a huge plus. Assembly: This is where things get tricky. The door comes in many pieces and requires a certain level of expertise to assemble. My husband, who is a contractor, was able to put it together. However, I wouldn't recommend this as a DIY project for the average person. Aesthetics: Once assembled, the door looks amazing. The natural, K-Frame design adds a rustic yet modern touch to any interior space. Overall Impression: If you're looking for a sturdy and stylish barn door and have the expertise to assemble it, this is a great choice. Just be prepared for a complex assembly process.

Cheaper than DIY!
I initially considered crafting my own barn door, but after evaluating the costs of materials alone (excluding my time) the precut barn door kit emerged as the better option. The assembly process was surprisingly swift, taking 15-20 minutes to complete. The door's design features intuitive notches that ensure the pieces interlock seamlessly, secured firmly with screws. The central panels, also notched, slide in effortlessly without leaving any gaps, although ensuring good alignment and squareness helps with this. To conceal the screw holes, the kit includes pegs, and for those who prefer, decorative overlays can be added towards the end using the provided screws. One crucial tip: the door's bottom is pre-cut to accommodate a track guide, so it's important to position it on bottom during assembly. Keep in mind, the hardware for hanging the door is sold separately, necessitating drilling for the barn door rollers. My sole concern is the center panel's material, which is somewhat thinner and less resilient. You can feel it flex when you push on the door. It does its job but I could see kids rough housing and breaking the center section.

Beautiful, Easy-to-Assemble Barn Doors
I bought two of these barn doors to cover my daughter’s bedroom closet, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. They were surprisingly easy to assemble, and the wood stained beautifully to the perfect color. I was a little skeptical at first about how well the wood pieces would join together, but it all came together smoothly and installation was a breeze. Great quality and a great look—highly recommend!

Great door!!! Worth the price!! High quality
GREAT DOOR!!! I GOR QUOTES TO HAVE SOMEONE BUILD IT CLOSE TO 500- 800 NO HARDWARE. THE QUALITY IS A1. I CHOSE TO STAIN MINE AND IT CAME OUT BEAUTIFUL MY WIFE LOVES IT. IVE SEEN REVIEWS ABOUT ISSUE WITH STICKERS MINE DID NOT COME THAT WAY PARTS WERE STAMPED ON THE BOTTOM OR LOCATIONS U WONT SEE. QUICK AND EASY TO ASSEMBLE. I ALSO SEEN PEOPLE SAYING GAPS IN DOOR FALSE! U NEED TO ASSEMBLE IT RIGHT. THE PANELS SLIDE IF NOT POSITIONED PROPERLY. VERY EASY TO PUT TOGETHER. HOW EVER MOUNTING AND HANGING WILL TAKE A LITTLE SKILL. DIRECTIONS ARE WHAT U EXPECT. THE DOOR GUIDE WILL LAST BUT I OPTED TO BUY ANOTHER ONE FROM SMART STANDARD. ALL IN ALL GREAT DOOR WILL BUY MORE ASAP!! Update: so the wood panels seem to have shifted or shrunk. Now there's a gap and It was perfect in the beginning this took over a. Month to have. Im going to use some wood filler to fix pretty sure it will be fine but kind of annoying. I thought the wood was suppose to expand not shrink.

!?!?!?!?.....
I wish I could upload a photo... so I can show people, I bought this kit because I personally did not want to go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and buy a bunch of lumber and try to make a door... When you start putting this thing together you will notice there is a space on either side of the door. If that doesn’t bother you were you can see through the door you should continue purchasing this door for however much it’s on sale for. But if you are somebody who pays attention to every detail, you will see that your value here is not worth it... you worked hard for your money. Don’t buy it... Go to YouTube, type in DIY BARNDOOR! Find the door that you were trying to make, and follow what that guy or woman did... I would return this door but I’ve already burned it, and stained it I did not notice any wrong until I started putting it together... Assembly is extremely easy... But seriously those little pieces that are in the center you can slide them to one side or the other and there is probably a gap of a quarter of an inch. Where are you can see through the door... I cannot express to you in words how pissed I am...

Looks good but subpar quality.
We were looking for a barn door at the big box stores, then decided to check here on Amazon. Well we found this door and, better yet, it came with all the hardware. I was actually surprised by the quality of the hardware; I expected cheap screws, nuts and bolts but some of the hardware is even grade 10.9! And the black color really makes them look good (although easy to scratch with a wrench or socket if not careful). As soon as I started to put the door pieces together I realized why the box stores sell their doors for so much more. Some of the pieces were splintered in a way that isn’t obvious just by looking at them, but when putting it together your hands will know. Next, the thick pieces of wood that make the frame of the door come pre-drilled so all you have to do is put the screws in. Fine for someone who isn’t familiar with a drill but leaves zero margin for adjusting for any “mishaps” the workers might have had when drilling the holes. In a perfect world, the door frame would be put together and the pieces drilled together so that the holes all line up. In my case, because the holes didn’t line up perfectly, one of the sides was slightly higher. Not, too terrible so I decided to keep going. Well, not only did the holes not quite line up, but one side was also drilled at an angle, causing the long piece of the frame to not be flat with the rest of the door... in other words it looks as if the door is warped or twisted. It wasn’t very apparent when I was putting it together and staining the wood (so no returns here!), but after hanging it on the track on the wall it clearly is much closer to the wall on one side vs the other. I tried loosening the screws and “twisting it back” but it didn’t help much, if at all. I would probably try to build my own next time.
