Ordered four doors for use on pocket doors and one hinged passage way closet. Doors are boxed and bubble wrapped well. Three separate deliveries zero damage. The description and comments about gaps did not apply on these doors. Zero gaps. See attached instructions and free replacements for any parts damaged in transit. I consider these paint grade only. All rails and stiles are finger jointed with no single joint section longer than 12 inches. Dozens of filled blemishes on each side. Can it be stained? Of course. Just don't expect continuous grain running the lengths of the rails and stiles. Each piece showed care and craftsmanship. The final product is exceptional at this price point. The assembly instructions (see attached) are excellent. The tenons were NOT friction fit. Too much so for my liking. The slop allowed the rails to move vertically 1/2 inch and the rails could rotate slightly making use of filler shims and additional clamps with very careful seam and edge alignment required prior screwing together. Not difficult, just be mindful and ensure plenty of working time with your wood glue. The vertical grooves in the stiles that receive the tongue and groove slats have rubber foam strips inserted to make a snug fit and eliminate rattle. A very welcomed and thoughtful inclusion. The deeply counter sunk screws INCLUDED the required 4 inch #2 Phillips bit with each door - sweet. Filler plugs included. Be mindful not to OVER insert. No flush sawing of plugs required. Assembled, there are no gaps or relative motion between fitted pieces. The tongue and groove slats are solid, but thin. The total door thickness is only 1-3/8. The slats are 1/2 inch the decorative k-style bucking is barely 3/8 inch. Not a door for a kids/teenagers room. Not as bad as a hollow core door, but rough housing could easily break through the individual slat thickness. But hey, that's what birth control is for, right? :-) Exceeded expections for a product made in China. These were exactly what we were looking for and UNABLE to find in any local supply or millwork for under $600 each. Forget a finding a prehung hinged version! Hinge jig, router, and custom jam was detailed, but not difficult for the DIY. Review: Usable for more than just a sliding barn door - Easy to assemble. Glue and paint coloring performance is good, not split when nailing. - PURCHASE NOTES (GAPS ISSUE)：The material of the door is natural wood, in order to prevent the wood from decaying during transportation, the wood is fumigated before shipment, so there will be small GAPS between the boards after the door is installed. But after a period of usage, the natural wood board absorbs the moisture in the air and the board slowly expands. Bypass hardware kit?** A: The width of this door is 48 inches. It can be used if the track can be installed with a 48-inch door. **Q: Can this be used for double doors?** A: Yes but 2 of them will only cover about 70 inches. I also purchased a long rail for the 2 doors. The bracket to hang them required holes to be drilled 2 inches down from the top of the door. This happened to be where the screws were that held the door together so I had to drill through 4 metal screws. **Q: Can i use these doors for outside if i use exterior paint on them??** A: Definitely NO! Quality & Durability: The door is solid and made of quality spruce wood. It's built to last, which is a huge plus. Assembly: This is where things get tricky. The door comes in many pieces and requires a certain level of expertise to assemble. My husband, who is a contractor, was able to put it together.
