Excellent Vacuum Cleaner
Cleans my hardwood and tile floors beautifully.Be careful with cord rewinder. My cord got stuck and I had to have a vacuum cleaner repair place get it out. The repair person advised me to hold the cord while rewinding to prevent the plug from getting stuck inside. I usually leave the plug and a small section of the cord hanging out, which the repair person also recommended.

Exceeded expectations - an excellent investment!
I am a huge fan of Miele products and the C3 Kona vacuum cleaner is no exception. This is a high-end, powerful vacuum that is built to last. The suction power is impressive and it does a great job of picking up dirt and debris from all surfaces, including carpets and hardwood floors. The adjustable settings make it easy to switch between cleaning tasks and the attachments are well-designed and easy to use.For those of you debating between the models offered in the C3 line - Marin vs Calima vs Cat & Dog vs Kona - I chose Kona as I mainly use clean hardwood floors, have a small dog (different shedding than a larger long-haired dog), and care primarily about the HEPA filter function. Some features to highlight:- HEPA Filter: My favorite feature of the C3 Kona is its HEPA filter, which does an excellent job of trapping allergens and other microscopic particles. You can immediately tell when you’re using it that the hot air coming out of the vacuum is clean filtered air. It doesn’t have that “vacuum exhaust” smell that conventional vacuums have while cleaning. This is a great feature for anyone with family members who have allergies or asthma. I used to vacuum only when my household allergy sufferers were out of the house; now I can vacuum anytime, even when they’re in the house. It also has a unique AirClean sealed system that captures over 99.9% of all lung-damaging particles. Great news for all of us who have spent more time at home in the past few years and care about indoor air quality.- Suction Power: Thanks to the powerful 1200-watt Vortex Motor, there’s a visible difference between my previous vacuums (Dyson V8 Handheld, Dyson Animal ball, Shark upright) in picking up dust. The vacuum head gently slides over the floor and swiftly captures all particles big or small in one swipe. No more going over the same spot. It’s amazing. It also has a 6-stage variable speed control, which allows you to adjust the suction power to suit the task at hand.- Low Sound: Another huge plus is the quieter sound level. My baby napping in the next door room doesn’t awaken to my vacuuming.- Built-in Storage: This was a big question for us prior to purchase. Do we pay the extra $$ for a built-in storage for heads? Is it really worth it? The answer is yes. Such a game-changer to quickly change between your vacuum heads as you’re cleaning around the house. Fewer skipped over areas (think ledges that need the thin nozzle, or sofas that need the upholstery attachment) and no lost parts.- Maneuverability: The body is lightweight and moves around so smoothly on all types of surfaces including hardwood, tiled flooring, rugs, etc. There’s a bumper on the exterior that prevents from denting your furniture if you do bump into them. The telescopic wand is the best I’ve seen among other highest-end vacuum brands. I am no longer straining after 30 minutes of cleaning.- Maintenance: Super easy maintenance with simple, straightforward instructions for cleaning and replacing filters. After discovering how hygienic Miele’s dust bags are, I can’t go back to other “bag-less” vacuums. Those are nice for the first two uses and then you realize you constantly have a vacuum that’s spilling dust back into your house every time you move it.Overall, I highly recommend the Miele C3 Kona vacuum cleaner to anyone in the market for a high-quality, powerful and durable vacuum. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it is well worth the investment in my opinion.

Brush head no longer works
UPDATE: When it worked, it was amazing. One year and 2 months later, now the fancy brush head won’t work. It’s $315 for a replacement. NO vacuum repair place near me will repair it since it was purchased on Amazon. DO NOT BUY THIS ON AMAZON. Only buy locally, as that’s what all the repair shops will honor for warranty repairs.I’ve used this for four months now. This thing is freaking amazing. My hard floors are cleaner than they have ever been! I always have very dirty floors from having a dog, cat, dirt tracked in from my barn, and dirt from living on a dry desert dirt road. This vacuum picks up everything. It feels like I mopped the floor after I vacuum: no grit or fine dirt dust left on the floor. When I mop after vacuuming, the water/soap bucket has no dirt in it like it had contained for years. I have always bought Hoover uprights. They don’t compare at all to the suction and cleaning power that this vacuum has. I find the attachments a little hard to get on and off the pole/hose, but I’m getting much better at it. I like the onboard storage for tools, very handy and the tools don’t fall off like the old Hoover upright. The small tools are standard, can’t vacuum up my cat’s super fine and long hair off furniture or cat tower. No tools ever have, this wasn’t a big surprise to me. The tools work well for shelve dusting, baseboards, leather couch crevices and such. I found the printed instruction manual too general, not specific to this model. I had go online to figure out how to reset brush rollers after sucking up a carpet. I made notations in useless manual for easier future reference. In reading other peoples’ low reviews, they stated that there was an issue with the floor brush roller shorting out. I haven’t found this to be true, as when you have the pole up right it shuts off the brush motors so that it can sit there and rest “off” while you’re moving furniture or whatever. None of that is a dealbreaker, as this vacuum cleans my floors and carpeting better than ever been cleaned before. And I don’t want to forget to add that this vacuum is SO QUIET that my 10-year-old cat (who has been terrified of vacuums his whole life) doesn’t even leave the room now when I’m vacuuming. Easy to maneuver brush roller floor attachment, it’s a back and shoulder saver for this senior gal. I have tipped canister over on carpeting, but I’ve never had a canister that follows behind me. It takes getting used to moving it out of the way instead of stumbling over it. LoL. I hope their quality stands the test of time, I would replace again with same quality vacuum in future. I would absolutely recommend this vacuum to anybody who wants genuinely clean floors.
