Great Condition
Received the laptop on time. The laptop for its age is in great condition. The company has done a good job of restoring the laptop. I'm happy with my purchase. For an older laptop it works almost like new.

Almost 3 months, now dead
Used the laptop on a couple of out of town trips and put it away in it's nice padded case. Opened it up today (almost 3 months to the day since I got it) to get ready for another trip and it's dead. Starts up, flashes a split second of blue screen. Tried re-installing the operating system and that ends with an error indicating hardware failure. Hard drive is good - it opened just fine when connected to my desktop, so no clue what broke and how it broke. Working when I put it away, now dead? Got to love wasted money.

Advertised unit was not delivered and had issues
Executive Summary: Unit arrived was not the model advertised (E6430 advertised and E5440 sent) and it arrived with issues; company contacted; issues resolved to my satisfaction; should have asked some QC questions first.General: The unit advertised was an E6430, however the unit received was an E5440. The unit arrived with the wrong AC Adapter. This unit requires a 90Watt AC Adapter but a 65Watt AC adapter was shipped with the unit. Also, the DVD drive failed to open; it was not recognized by the BIOS so it could not be opened electronically. The unit was not designed with an external button for opening. Finally, the unit had a fan malfunction error requiring an F1 key depression at each restart. The fan was not working and the unit got very hot. I contacted the company requesting a remedy. Within a day they contacted me and offered to send me a new external DVD drive and the 90Watt AC adapter. These arrived within a few days. I requested a Dell AC adapter but was provided a generic. The DVD player was in new packaging. The DVD player was hooked up and works fine. The 90Watt adapter worked fine as well. The presumption on my part was the fan malfunction, (which was logged into the thermal log in BIOS as failing repeatedly) would be corrected with the higher wattage AC adapter. Upon first usage, the alert to depress the F1 key to bypass the fan malfunction error was not posted. However, it reappeared with subsequent restarts. After much research, I bought a can of compressed air, took off the back cover and blew out the area around the fan. When the air could be seen coming from the cooling vents I stopped and reassembled. The fan was now running and the error code was finally gone. It was simply dirty. I was relieved that this solved the issue as replacing the fan is a major effort. Upon reflection, when buying a laptop that is not factory new, I should have contacted the Seller and asked some fundamental quality control questions. I know better now. The final remedy provided by the Seller was acceptable, but it was not what was advertised. The Seller was very responsive to my concerns. I would use this Seller again based on their customer service but I would ask questions before committing again to any electronic device that was not new in the package.

I am very pleased with my purchase
Dell Latitude E6430 - 14" - Core i7 3520M - Windows 7 Professional 64-bit - 4 GB RAM - 500 GB HDD -Sold by: Sams Computer LLC.Initially arrived without a power adapter but the seller quickly sent this using Priority USPS mail at the seller's expense.I have been using DELL E6430 I7 systems at work for the past few years as a desktop replacement for software development and test.I have upgraded memory from 4GB to 8GB.I replaced hard drive with SSD.I upgraded OS from WIndows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro.It is running very well. The laptop appears to be very clean; no surface marks. One of the rubber feet on the base of the laptop is missing, but it is in the middle of the base so it does not cause wobble.I am very pleased with my purchase.
