New LED lights and smarter connections
These are great LED lights used on my 18' center console fisihing / dive boat. I keep it in my driveway on the trailer. Good construction, just make sure all your connections are waterproof. Youtube is great for that. The LED is sealed and yes water can get in and drain out... but effects nothing. Good purchase.

Very nice set, easy installation, good instruction
There are only few minor things which either were not good or I disliked. On one of the total 6 threaded holes couldn’t thread in the stud. When I looked closely I found that the plastic cover was slightly over the edge of threaded hole. So I used a small blade of my pocket knife and scrapped of the excessive plastic. That was sufficient to thread in the stud. The other three minor things I didn’t like are: the self threaded screws to attach ground wires were too small in diameter to self thread in heavy gage trailer frame; I have to use my quite larger screws with hex head to to that part of installation, I dislike not having more clips to secure wiring on the trailer frame and that the wire color of the side markers didn’t match the color of the wire to which it needs to be spliced. Because of all these so minor issues, all together I am knocking of one star.

Led trailer lights.
Put these lights on. Only put boat in 3 time and bottom row of leds are dead. They look good but. Water proof is not waterproof these days. Good luck.

Design flaws
Seeing the majority of review pictures indicates water inside the housing and covering the led face. I decided to carefully open up each housing to see what I would be up against with water intrusion. Both lights have wire harness going into an unsealed hole in the back. The right one has drain holes in the channels on the bottom. Unscrewing the two backside phillips head screws, the lens face is fitted snug but not glued and can be pulled off. There is a new design where the led face is actually completely sealed into the lens now. There is another light module for side marker light and circuit board - inside a clear plastic housing that is also completely sealed at the seams. It is a liquid-set sealant that appears well done, The idea is both circuit board housing and lens lights will not get soaked any longer with water. When submerged, water will easily fill the compartment through the harness hole, the drain holes, and also the snug fitting lens, but this should be ok and the water will eventually drain back out. The directions even advise to ensure the drain holes are on the bottom. If the sealed in place circuit board and lens light face remain water tight - everything will be ok. BUT moving to the left tail light - there are NO drain holes! There will be water coming into the harness hole. The unsealed removable lens face is another source. If there were drain holes - this would be resolved. Another point is the clear plastic underside license place lens. It is shaped as to protrude outside the housing - this is like a plate holding water on the inside even if there were drain holes. The problem here, is launching your trailer, silt is stirred and eventually the dirty water would settle and stay mucky obscuring the clarity. Unbelievable (or is it) the manufacturer(s) went to the trouble of a much better water proofing design for submersion, but neglected drainage for the left light. Staying filled with water up to the harness hole, and maybe just barely enough seam drip from the unsealed removable face will weep water. But far cry from proper drainage holes. There are channels on the bottom yes - where you'd expect drainage holes, but they aren't open. I intend to carefully use RTV sealant on the harness hole creating a solid seal. Furthering the submersion water sealing will include RTV sealing the removable face carefully with a bead and closing it up against RTV, and also RTV for the drain holes on the right light. Testing the fixed side marker lenses and license plate lens, they appear to be glued into place as no water leaked when dipping the open housing into a bowl of water just covering enough to see if water leaked. It is hope the electronics of the light perform with reliability and longevity no matter what, but I don't want one drop of water to enter the housing. It's a great appearance and functioning light - the halo strips are running lights, and the led bulb rows are super bright and operate on or off only as brake lights. Both work in unison meaning the running lights remain on when the bright brake lights flash. You're almost there - but one star for the ridiculous oversight on left housing lack of drainage and license plate "dish" lens and causing so much trouble to customers trying to fix your mistakes. Note: I've sent message to the manufacturer asking about warranty. NO RESPONSE.

Make sure to have good ground
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Picked this over others because has lots of reviews, most are good but also price is good, make sure to have a solid ground. I almost returned but because im they were very dim, until I got a wire grounded past the hitch over the Y then it lite up like a Christmas tree.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT
Excellent. These lights were better than I could have imagined. For the money it’s a spectacular deal. I put these on a small wave Runner trailer. These lights could’ve been on an 18 wheeler.
