EltaMDUV Clear Tinted Face Sunscreen, SPF 46 Oil- Free with Zinc Oxide, Dermatologist Recommended

My skin reacts very negatively to too much sun, especially at the beginning of the summer season. As a result, my dermatologist recommended that I use a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen and that it be at least 50 SPF. The problem with a lot of mineral sunscreens is that, while they are very effective against the sun, they are hard to rub in and likely to leave a white cast on one’s face. As a person of color, I’ve found that to be a particular problem.A large number of “experts” in articles I read recommended this sunscreen. I can now understand why—and also why 40 thousand Amazon customers have purchased this in the past month alone! It comes in different shades so that you can pick one that best matches your skin tone. And it goes on smoothly and easily, without any white cast at all, and feels great on my skin. While it’s only SPF 46, not 50, my dermatologist feels this is close enough. Also important to me is that it’s fragrance free, given my allergies. It advertises itself a being a product that “calms and protects skin prone to acne and rosea.” I can testify that it has prevented my face from breaking out as it usually does at the beginning of summer. I purchased the small bottle so that it would be allowed under TSA guidelines to be carried in my carry-on luggage.

Love this product! Never go out in the sun without it. Have been using this sunscreen for over 5 years! Have recommended it to a number of my friends. Gives me great sun protection with a little coverage too. I love that Elta MD offers a tinted and non-tinted as well as different spf levels. I have oily skin so I use the UV Clear Tinted, and sometimes will wear just this on my face, no foundation or other on errand day.

Love this product. Light just the right amount of tint. Leaves a glowy healthy sheen to your face. I wear it alone or can be used over your foundation. I put it on after using a tinted moisturizer or usual moisturizer cream. Feel protected from sun rays. Good for my fair senior sensitive skin. Good for daily use. Not water resistant however.

This is sold at dermatologist's office, which is how I first discovered Elta. I have problem skin and have never experienced a breakout or any other skin problems while wearing this. I use it almost every day; if there is even the tiniest chance I will be outside, I must be wearing sunscreen. The tint is not overwhelming; I think for most people it will blend nicely with skin. I am exceptionally fair and add a tiny bit of a high SPF white sunscreen to it, mix in my hand and apply to face. Even though the tint is dark for me and needs to be lightened as mentioned, I still prefer tinted sunscreen to the stark white of un-tinted sunscreen which just makes me look deathly pale and streaky. This Elta sunscreen with the tiniest bit of white added looks very natural on my skin, and make-up (blush and brow color) apply smoothly and flawlessly over it.

Love their sunscreen but received the normal version without tint and didn’t realize it until I went to re order.

I’ve tried a few other tinted sunscreens and circled back to this one. Simply put it just works, it’s not too drying, not greasy for the summer. It layers nicely under makeup while getting the job done.

I have been recommended this many times and I finally decided to purchase it! Let me tell you, it feels great on the skin! Very light-weight, gives the perfect tint on your face, and doesn't feel like all those other sunscreens! I'm super picky with sunscreen and I can definitely say I will be using this and repurchasing!

Absolutely love this! The sunscreen blends seamlessly into your skin and leaves behind the most gorgeous sheen/glow. One pump generously covers my neck & face. I can get away with this tinted sunscreen and a bit of concealer and I’m ready to go with my makeup for the day. Easy, light, & effortless! (And with minimal shine)
