I've used about 15 of these connectors so far, and they work great!. These are about the best I've found online for the price. They are designed for 900µm (jacketed) singlemode fiber, and don't come with boots for different diameter. However, I have used them directly on 125µm fiber with the cladding only. A bit delicate since the boot doesn't really grip that small, but the pressure slide for the bare fiber holds it well enough.Easy to use:1. Remove boot from connector and slide over fiber.2. Strip fiber, cladding, cleave. Lengths for each are indicated on the package label.3. Make sure the small yellow slider is all the way open (toward the open back end of the connector), insert fiber.4. Apply a small amount of additional pressure to gently bow the fiber and maintain pressure, while sliding the yellow slider toward the ferrule end of the connector.5. Test with VFL or meter; there should be minimal light leakage visible through the yellow plastic slider area, and plenty of light coming out the end of the ferrule, enough to make a nice dot on a wall. Slider can be re-opened and fiber re-positioned if needed.6. Slide boot back onto connector and you're done.Couldn't be easier. The only one I've had any trouble with so far was the very first one I ever tried to use (and my first attempt at terminating singlemode fiber ever), and I think I cracked the end of the cleaved fiber a bit, resulting in a leaky connection. But every use after that first learning experience has been perfect. Very nice connectors for the price.

Half of these were already engaged/pushed/compressed together. I could not take them apart by hand so as delicately as possible I tried to pry them apart with tools and ruined them. The half that were not compressed together worked great.

The instructions are a little incomplete seeming, and unclear at some steps. The "fiber holder" included didn't have any measurement marks either despite that being what's shown in the manual. Despite those minor issues, the connector worked perfectly the first time. Seeing excellent signal levels with very low loss.

The plastic is a little on the cheap side but I’m getting link. The connectors are a little delicate when it comes to physically terminating the fiber as I had two break on me, but overall the connectors are dirt cheap compared to others and I’m getting link.
