NICHE Starter
Worked perfect, only found out they had a recall on Yamaha 2016 - 2018 for starters after I installed this one. Going to call local Dealer to see if I can take old one in to get a replacement for the future if needed. All in All this is a great replacement starter.

Came delivered within 24 hours and was a perfect direct fit and works better than factory part thats listed for over $200 great starters I’ve replaced over 20 with this product and not one issue !!!

Purchased in May….. 5 months later it doesn’t work!!
Worked well for a short period, then it just stopped!!

The difficulty level in stalling it was medium.
The design of the Yamaha Kodiak requires removing 4 panels, the inlet air filter box, the storage box, and unplugging several wiring harnesses to get to the starter. Once you get to the the starter it's fairly easy to remove and replace.It remains to be seen how long this one will last. The OEM starter lasted about 3 to 4 years. The first replacement lasted about 2 years.

What my 2017 YAMAHA GRIZZLY 700 Needed!
Quick 20 minute job.Removed 2 - 8mm bolts and 1 - 10mm Positive Post stud nut, slipped the old starter out. Man was it loose and rough grinding, got full of water and dirt from a Mud run, where we got into some "Handel Bar Stew" with the ATV's. Lubed the rubber O-Ring on the New Starter and attached the Positive Starter wire to the New Starter, placed it back into the bike, and reinstalled the 2 8mm bolts and Done! Glad this was some inexpensive and easy to do! Would recommend as this one came in over $100.00 less than dealer OEM starter.

Local parts store wanted 260 Yamaha wanted 360, I installed this starter on a 2018 grizzly 700 and has worked great have only had on the bike for the past two weeks but no issues yet
