Second order for this chocolate on Amazon. Happy with how well packaged the chocolate bars are for shipment. Happy it's NON GMO and made with Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa. Most of all, happy with delicious, quality dark chocolate... Oh, and the best by date is also very good (almost two years). But it will be long gone before then, of course!

Each package includes an assortment of gifts and treats, which we try to buy from local companies here in the Northwest (Chocolove is produced in Boulder, Colorado).The Amazon order includes a box of 12 bars, each containing freeze-dried raspberry pieces enveloped in Belgian dark chocolate crafted from African cocoa beans. Of course, we tested one bar before sending off the rest as Christmas gifts.These chocolate bars are decadent and nicely accompany a cup of hot tea.In summary, these chocolates are delicious, reasonably priced and the attractive package design (each bar includes a love poem!) makes this a perfect gift for Christmas, Valentine's Day or any occasion when you want to share your love.BTW: In addition to this box of dark chocolate bars, we also purchased and recommend McSteven's Olde English Toffee and McSteven's Jolly Blend Cocoa as Christmas gifts.Last year, we bought truffle collections from Seattle Chocolates to send overseas. Each order -- Blackberry Crème Truffles, White Chocolate Orange Truffles and Pink Polka Dot Assorted Truffles - included three boxes of individually wrapped truffles. These chocolates are no longer available on Amazon but keep an eye out should they return.

I love dark chocolate, and this brand delivers a creamy texture with a slight crunch from the raspberry seeds. I like that t is the chocolate flavor that dominates. Only problem, each bar is three servings but how can you STOP???

Chocolate looks and tastes good, comes in attractive packaging, even has love poems (of varying quality, and all the same in a given batch) written inside the wrapper.Ordered this particular product because of recent Lead/Cobalt contamination issues with Dark Chocolate across the USA, and fact this particular Chocolate brand/flavor passed all safety tests for these with flying colors (very little Lead OR Cobalt found, well below recommended safety levels, unlike some major brands... Recent publicized court cases only led to VOLUNTARY actions that have only been partially implemented, so wary of some other brands...) in effort to be careful of own health, but product also says is Rainforest Alliance certified and extremely pleasing in taste/texture etc.Only issue with product is high price- would normally pay substantially less for Chocolate.

It's not a pure chocolate bar, and it's only 55% cocoa content, so if you're a chocolate snob who likes to appreciate the flavor of a nice 100% Colombian dark chocolate bar or a German 85% w/ nibs, you may want to reconsider. I, however, like some variety in my bars, because if I'm going to sit around and eat 3.2 oz of chocolate bar, I'm going to want something else in there. Like some crunchy almonds and dried cherries. OH WAIT, that's this bar! It's a great bar and I loved the 3 that I got to eat. Sadly, the pair of chocoholics who have access to my fridge ensured that 3 of 12 was all I'd get. Completely unfair.If you're still on the fence, consider: at the time of this writing, 2 people have NOT given this a 5 star review. One says they're nothing special and you shouldn't count calories (I'm not), and the other is mad that a 55% bar is too sugary compared to the 85% she's used to. YOU DON'T SAY? Let me tell you, if I bought a 85% bar and it tasted like this, I'd be pretty mad. But it's 55%, which is borderline milk chocolate, and it's sweet, so please don't fault the bar when you like to taste the subtleties of bitter unsweetened chocolate. Which, by the way, if you're a TRUE chocoholic, you should definitely do. A few bites of excellent quality only-chocolate bar is quite the gastronomic experience. But that's not this; this is a chocolate bar you have a few squares of every now and then when you want something sweet, and this delivers. Mmmmmmm.

The chocolate arrived discolored and stale. It appears that some of the bars had melted and reformed.

As far as chocolate bars go, these are very decent. Not worldclass by any stretch, but the raspberries that are freeze dried have a pleasantly strong taste and the chocolate is smooth. Overall a very good buy that is available here for much less than what I used to pay at the grocery store.
