This versital whole grain Cooks in 32 minutes (7 minutes@ 100% power then 25 minutes @50% power) in the microwave. I combine the whole Buckwheat groats with organic steel cut Oatmeal, ground Flaxseed, Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Maple syrup. Just before serving I add crushed roasted Walnuts and Blueberries for a SUPER NUTRITIOUS complex carbohydrate breakfast POWER BOWL!I use 1 cup of Organic Buckwheat to 2 cups of Organic steel cut Oatmeal. They take the same time to cook together and their nutritional content is different and complimentary. In the areas oatmeal has nutritional deficiencies Buckwheat is stronger and where Buckwheat has its deficiencies Oatmeal is stronger. This organic grain combination provides great complex gluten-free carbohydrates that don't contain any glyphosate residue. Together they provide a balanced high PROTEIN and FIBER rich combination, and these nutritionally complex and dense whole grains are very satiating and slowly digested.I also use this Buckwheat after grinding it into flour, as an addition to my CUSTOM Blueberry PANCAKE recipe. I combine 1/3 BUCKWHEAT flour with 1/3 whole wheat black onyx Sorghum flour and 1/3 Oatmeal flour and also include some ground Flaxseed. I add Cinnamon and Nutmeg to the mix. Then combine the dry mix with equal parts of a combination of whole milk Ricotta cheese and low fat Buttermilk plus 2 Eggs. Additionally I include real Vanilla extract, Orange Juice and Orange Zest.The inclusion of this Buckwheat adds a complex NUTTY flavor, and creates a NUTRITIOUS and complexly delicious BESPOKE pancake batter. Although this Buckwheat is Raw I made dehydrated crackers and the taste was phenomenal! They are easy to work with and I trust Bob's Red Mill Products so I knew it would be healthy and delicious. I just soaked the groats overnight then rinsed them the following morning and made my crackers and dehydrated them. The smell filled the house with such a wonderful smell. I knew they would turn out delicious and they did. So I will be buying these again.

I made fermented buckwheat bread with the first batch. I am attempting to sprout the buckwheat for my second batch. This should be possible since it is advertised as raw. However, 48 hours plus in and no sign of sprouting yet. My first loaf was okay, but nothing to write home about. That may just be a problem with the recipe. The groats looks good. When they arrived. I will check back and update my review later.

I love kasha! Checking prices on single bags, I found this 4 bag carton a good buy. I’ve eaten kasha for decades and can always count on Bob’s Red Mill for a good product no matter what it is. And if you’re gluten sensitive they have a separate facility for processing gluten free products.

The only buckwheat that I eat. Delicious.
