KlipschAW-650 Indoor/Outdoor Speaker, White (Pair)

To this day, I've never had any difficulty reviewing Klipsch speakers as all of my main speakers are and have been over many years, Klipsch, so I kinda feel I just might possess enough "street-cred" to give them a worthy review. Presently, I'm using a Denon AVR x4800h receiver with 125watt/channel to run my 7.1 main zone in our living room, which, IMHO, is outstanding, but I needed a pair of really nice quality speakers for my patio, because sitting out there listening to the sub-par Bluetooth speakers just isn't cutting it anymore. I did take my time and spent a lot of it looking around for the right speakers because, I know the good ones, at least to me, can be and usually are a little pricey and then may or may not deliver the waves you were hoping for. Fortunately, I found these on Amazon, and at 53% off, that's an O.M.G! in my book. And what a perfect addition for the patio! It didn't take me long to unbox (which the boxing alone was excellent), install and crank the juice to these impressive, Klipsch speakers. The Denon has additional Zone options which allows one to wire speakers in different areas and use all the amplifier's options to run them. Suffice to say, these exceeded my expectations, and they were high as I expected and was hoping for another great experience coming from "The Keepers of The Sound." Without a doubt, everything from the killer bass to the Mids and Highs, all were absolutely outstanding! I spaced them approximately 15 to 20 feet apart, angled slightly downwards since they're not exactly at listening level, but after all was said and done, the sounds meld together so perfectly that they give the impression they're mounted directly behind my head and my tympanics are doing the "soft-shoe" dance. I have a need for my music to be clear, crisp and usually loud, and that also means it has to have as little of distortion as possible, so it becomes an almost a spiritual experience instead of a fatiguing one. Again, the clarity with zero distortion at the loudness I play them, not to mention they're suitable for outside use and should be able to withstand almost everything Mother Nature has to throw at them, which is another impressive attribute. For my review, I couldn't give them anything but my highest recommendation for price, style, quality of outrageous sound across all 3 spectrums, and knowing they were made by, again, the Keepers of The Sound, it's a safe bet, these will last and provide great neural sensations for many years to come. 5 Stars all day long for all the above.

These sound fantastic for outdoor speakers. I have a pair in my breezeway with an 8" active wireless sub (also Klipsch) and they pair well enough, but I've ordered a 12" active wired sub to replace this one as the lows aren't nearly loud enough to compliment the mids/highs of these loudspeakers. They're much larger than I anticipated. Completely my fault for not looking at the dimensions before ordering, so you should. I have plenty of space, so it didn't impede installation at all, but if you have shallow eaves, use a measuring tape to verify fit. I have these speakers powered by a cheap Fosi BL20C (160w x 2 ch, requires active sub, but does have an output) and have two cheap Dual (brand) outdoor speakers on the patio splitting the wattage (80w per speaker). To state the obvious, these Klipsch AW-650's make the Duals sound...cheap. One thing to note is that according to the Klipsch spec-sheet, these are rated for continuous 85w and a PEAK of 340w (each).I can honestly recommend these to folks who understand that they're OUTDOOR speakers and not designed to sound like a $5k pair of studio towers, but for the coin, I can't recommend them enough. I would also recommend to pair them with a 200w-300w 10"-12" sub if you must have the lows and have a protected space for one.

These Speakers are amazing, sound great under my awning in my backyard. I first played them at a high volume on my old Kenwood amp 100 watt rms x2 for a half hour to break them in. I have a 1mii P4 amp that I bought on Amazon last year and I bought Hannlinte 14 AWG 15ft banana plug speaker wire. I hooked it up and I was blown away by the crystal clear sound and deep bass ! The wire is indoor but it's tucked behind the siding and should be fine. Mounted speakers to the house with 2 1/2 stainless steel deck screws. When I'm not having a party I just unplug the 1mii and bring it in the house, the speakers and wires stay outside ! Outdoor speakers usually don't have a lot of bass because they are coated for the elements but these kick A_ _ Great speaker at a great price !

Great speakers. I actually blew the woofers in one set of these after almost 2 years of using them to the max outside by the pool in the sun. Called Klipsch and had a new set sent to me the same week. Buy from authorized reseller and they have a good warranty. I have another set that's 8 years old but not in direct sun that are still going strong so I'm assuming the combo of direct sun and full volume for 8 hours straight that day did them in.

I found these speakers to be excellent but the product support to be even better. I purchased the Klipsch AW-650 Speakers in August 2024. They worked well but suddenly failed in early June 2025. I contacted Klisch and they responded immediately and are replacing the speakers under their warranty. Their customer support is excellent, and I will now only purchase Klipsch speakers!Update: Klipsch replaced the AW-650 speakers with the RSM-650 speakers and all I can say is that they are awesome! The sound quality is excellent, and they can handle very high volume. Highly recommend.

Amazing outdoor sound. I needed a new set of speakers to replace some failing Niles rock speakers and came across these. I was so impressed by the sound quality that I bought a second pair and replaced all my rock speakers. These are run in parallel on a 100 watt amp and sound amazing at half volume. I’m sure if you put a more powerful amp on them they would be able to handle it fine.

I’ve had these Klipsch outdoor speakers in the past and they are great quality and sound really good .. great bass , but I had a pair of Bose 251 outdoor speakers and I wish I had bought another before they were discontinued, not saying the Klipsch are bad but the Bose are way better . However the price point can’t be beaten since it looks like Klipsch is discontinuing this line as well .
