The noise from the original fan in my 2017 MacBook Air progressively got louder over time, so I finally decided to see if I could replace it with a newer, quieter fan. This new fan from MMOBIEL installed easily with instructions I found online from ifixit, and the new fan runs super quiet and keeps my MacBook working as expected. It is so quiet that I had to run the Apple Diagnostics to make sure it was working, and that is when I heard it spin up fast during the diagnostics test. Even when it spun up super fast, it was still quieter than the original fan. I'm so glad I bought this at such a low cost for an easy DIY replacement. Just make sure you have the correct screw bits to open your MacBook if you don't already have them.

This fan replaced the 10 year old fan in my MacBook air. The original fan became extremely noisy and the computer was starting to run hot. This fan was installed in less than 30 minutes. At first I thought wasn't running but after checking it out I found it was just extremely quiet and effective. So far it could not be better. In expensive fix for a great old computer.

Old fan started making hella noise and my ancient Macbook was starting to fritz out again, so I ordered another replacement fan. A day later (literally, I ordered it Thursday night, and it was on my porch Friday afternoon), it was in my hands. Popped open the beast, yanked the old fan, popped in the new one, and Bob's your uncle. No noise, no crashing, no problems.Not the first time I've done this dance, but this delivery was super fast and smooth.

Too loud and sounded like a motorboat, I just cleaned my old one and didn’t replace it

I accidentally broke the original fan in my 2013 MacBook Air when replacing a different part. The connector is not very good on the original fan. I really needed to use my MacBook the next day, and Amazon came to the rescue by getting this fan to me the next day! Awesome! The fan is pretty quiet and fit perfectly! Awesome! Great replacement!

The fan housing was pressing against the "blades",which rendered it in inoperable or not rotational.Only later I realised that the fan housing must have bent either at the factory during packaging or during the movement/shipping and that its wasnt an internal electrical defect of the fan.After straightening the bend of the housing,the blade rotation was freed which enable the fan to operate as required.

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro.It'd been many years the fan stopped working. This is remarkably economical solution that goes a long way.I do use a cooling pad as well, but in making the laptop last, the inner fan is so so important.You will however have to either purchase and procure the fancy tool-kits (with magnetic screwdriver) to change it yourself or still go repair-shop for a 5 minute job. The inner screws for the fan are different from the ones on the outer Mac-book casing. The simple toolkits won't help. You need one of those 100-in-one varieties with a super strong magnet screwdriver.It's not difficult to change it for yourself provided you have the tool. Save for that, the fan itself works for the older MacBook models for sure at least.There are apps like Mac fan control that let you adjust fan speeds to heat sensors, so the fan noise only happens when your laptop itself is running high temperatures.Either way, this works, and its been about 6-8 months since purchase.
