Not a fit for kitchen aid KUDS038TSSO
The bracket system is the exact opposite of what is on my KitchenAid. The key at the top is screwless on the original part and the screw goes in the bottom. On all these parts on Amazon, It appears that the screw and the key slot are located on the top roller. If you save the screw from your old bracket you can actually mount this new part. I did that and packed both rollers with grease and greased the rope but the squeaking was unbelievable. The operation was also not smooth. I only did one side and immediately took it off and replaced the old bracket and used the new cable only. No squeaking whatsoever.Maybe the part where in with time. One old bracket on my dishwasher actually doesn’t seat properly Ass the key is broken off. I may use one of the new brackets if it breaks completely and hopefully the cable remains intact. So the point is don’t throw away any of your old hardware before you get this part and make sure you don’t need the extra screws from your old hardware.

Wheels don't rotate
Engineering 101, like materials don't slide. Appears the wheels are the same material as the axle/bracket, when installed the wheels bind and do not rotate. Nothing I tried was successful in getting the pulley wheels to rotate. Without rotation the door groaned up and down, very annoying. Fortunately for me the old system had wheels of a different plastic, and once I put the old pulley wheels on the new bracket all was quiet. In my case the cord was the broken part but upon repairing I did notice that one bracket was broken so the kit was needed but doesn't work as delivered. Supplier said put butter on it. How is churned cows milk going to help plastic slide on plastic? Buy at your own risk.

Easy Cheap Replacement
Slightly smaller rope diameter than last replacement but works fine for now. Plastic connectors eventually break on all these kits as well as the factory hardware. One of the ropes in the first kit sent was obviously broken and severely linked. Returned and second kit has a slightly damaged rope but kept it anyway. Suggestion: don’t return first kit until replacement kit arrives and use the two undamaged rope pieces.

Worked just fine - use a little oil on the wheels to remove noise
Cable and wheels worked perfectly. Yes there is squeak in wheel when you first use it. Plastic on plastic, just like the original. I put a little oil behind the wheel and to no surprise, noise is gone. You can also put a little oil on the cord if there is a squeak.

DO NOT BUY THESE unless you are deaf. SERIOUSLY.
They look to be made well. they are easy to install, but when you go to open the door it squeals very loudly. It took me a while to realize where the noise was coming from. The housing is some sort of plastic and the rollers are the same plastic. When you put strain on the assembly as when opening or closing the door, the bearing surface between the rollers and the roller housing chatters very badly. I tried white Lithium and silicone. Neither worked at all. Automotive EP grease was the only thing that quieted the chatter/squeal . That is totally unacceptable. What they needed to do was make the rollers from Nylon like the originals, then they would not chatter. Do Not buy these.

Exactly what we needed
We found the door to our dishwasher heavy and almost like it would break off(or hurt someone) if the wrong person opened it not knowing. We thought about calling a repairman, but decided to try this first. It was exactly the piece we needed! Cheap easy fix to a potential hazard!

Works but there’s a loud screeching sound.
I couldn’t pull my dishwasher out easily so ended up calling an appliance repair company. They were able to install the part easily and the dishwasher door worked but there was a loud screeching sound when the door opened and closed. I decided to get the original factory part and it was installed with no noise to the door. So this part, although much cheaper, was no bargain.

String snapped in just over 3 months (the original lasted 12 years!)
Flimsy junk. String snapped at just over 3 months. Now I need to order another from a more reputable brand (hopefully I can find a real OEM part) and waste time installing it again.
