Surprisingly good hard drive for a refurb.
It's big, heavy and runs a little on the warm/hot side, but otherwise, this is a pretty nice drive. It passed the comprehensive SMART surface test, so that's a relief and I haven't had any troubles with it so far. Not too noisy, which is a nice plus. What I really like though, is how fast this drive is. I wasn't expecting much, being a 5900RPM drive, but this guy copied huge disk images lickety-split with >145MB/s sustained writes all the way through. That's faster than any hard drive I've owned so far, aside from SSD's.If the price comes down a bit, I might be tempted to buy another one of these.

Seems to work fine, as expected.
We needed to have quick access to our old movies, and other CD's like Gunsmoke and Etc. We put ogether an old PC to use as a server and put this drive on it. Seems to work fine and easy to select something to watch and push it up to the TV.

Speeds are totally fine; I don't know how Reallocation works but is it like an odometer?
The hours started at zero when I first checked. The caution signal is typically when there are tens of thousands of hours- I once purchased a refurbished drive with 52,000 hours on and the same yellow Caution symbol in CrystalDiskInfo. I don't know what would cause the Caution signal to be on if it has zero hours, but if you've seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off, you know the odometer can be reset. Perhaps it was done in a way that recalibrated it and extended the life. But anyways, I've had a 52,000 hour drive work fine, so it's not a big deal if this has 30,000 hours on it. But It would be nice to know if it was reset. Hence the reason four instead of 5.

As good as new
This the second 4TB drive I have bought from DBSKY. Both passed extended tests. The first has been in service for 16 months without any problems. The manufacturing date of 2014 is to be expected for this drive, so it is about as old as the drives in the RAID that needed a replacement. The shipment was extremely well packaged.

Excellent quality and price
Exactly what I expected. I had some technical issues getting Windows 10 Pro to recognize the Drive, but it was recognized by the computer BIOS. If you buy this as a 4TB main drive using Windows 10, seek professional assistance.Very well packed. Arrived safely and on time.Highly recommended vendor! Thanks for everything!

Got a very old one
Its not DOA. Its working fine. However, the 2000+ days of aging this drive has gone through doesn't look promising. But with its price, I really shouldn't have expected much. I'll just use it as an offline backup to be safe.

Amazing Value
I got these from seller DBSKY and received drives that are indistinguishable from new. They were sealed in ESD packages that appear to be the original OEM ESD packaging from Seagate and SMART data from the drive reports ZERO hours of operation and ONE power-up. All for approximately HALF of the going price for new hard drives with similar specifications. These look, feel and act like brand-new hard drives. I'm not concerned at all about the drives I received so now I'll see if this particular Seagate model is reliable. The two year warranty from DBSKY is comforting, and hopefully I won't need it, but we'll see how the claims process goes if Seagate made a lemon.

Affordable storage
I been using computers forever, and I used all brands of storage devices and so far I never had issues with Seagate drives period that's like 25yrs. I used western digital to Maxtor or Toshiba even no name brands. So far I been using these segates for most of my storage and they just work and no fuzz, I will continue to use segate drives for my storage needs.
