Pure Body Naturals Cold Pressed Tamanu Oil, 4 Fl Oz - Calms Irritated Skin - Moisturises Dry Scaly Skin

I bought a 4 oz bottle of this almost a year ago, along with a bottle of rose hip seed oil. No price reduction unless you count the Prime member discount. I don't know what was going on- hormones (I'm almost 30), stress, or what, but I had persistent breakouts all over my cheeks and going back on the pill wasn't helping any.The regimen that I've been following for the last year has made a huge difference. Every morning, I wash my face with a cleanser. I use 3-4 drops of the rose hip seed oil, brush my teeth while it absorbs into my skin, then either apply my makeup or go about my day sans makeup. In the evening before bed, I wash my face again and use 4-5 drops of Tamanu oil. It's dark green and to me smells like nuts. I really don't care for the smell, but I'm used to it now and it does fade pretty quickly.I swear, any zit I feel I might be getting is mitigated (partially or wholly) overnight because of this oil. I think it's a little heavier than rose hip seed, which is why I prefer to use it before bed, but sometimes if I feel like I've got one of those big, deep zits coming on, I apply a drop of the tamanu oil to the palm of my hand and use a finger to gently rub it into my skin where the zit is forming in the morning, too.Now blemishes almost never come to a head, or if they do, they tend to heal much more quickly and the combination of the rosehip and tamanu oils seems to help clear and/or prevent scars as well (bonus).There's always a possibility that what works for me might not work for you. I was willing to give this a shot because I was tired of my skin feeling raw and dry from chemicals, like Proactiv, so I was eager to find a more natural solution.Also, if your skin is oily, don't be afraid to use oils! Mine is oily but using oils has just made everything more balanced with my skin and I don't think I could ever give them up.P.S. if it does work for you, it's a great deal. I ordered my first bottle of this stuff 12/6/2015 and I still have enough to last me a couple more weeks. I'm ordering more so that I'll have another bottle when I run out. A year's worth of product for less than $20? I'll take it.

I originally purchased this oil because my son has some scalp issues and I needed something for him that would stop the itching and white looking dustiness before he pulls all of his edges out. So far its been 24 hours and his scalp looks a little better and I mixed the Tamanu oil with some other essential oils and base oil in a henna dispenser bottle to evenly distribute the oil on his scalp, and i plan on doing that 3 times a day. Now, as for me I washed my face and put 3 drops and smeared it all over... Nothing short of amazing!! I have some eczema type bumps on both sides of my nose bridge an it itches a lot. Everything I've put on it, CBD/CBG oil, coconut oil, frankincense, etc., nothing has worked. overall my face has been extra dry and nothing moisturized it, and I became concerned about premature aging, as I used to work in the elements over 10 years. This oil literally has done in less than 8 hours than anything I've used. I don't wash my face with anything harsh and I look very young for my age to begin with. In short, I will definitely purchase this oil again and recommend it to others because it works and I'm confident it will help my sons scalp condition, as he hasn't pulled on his hair or complained of any itching since I applied the oil.

I bought this because I heard its good for eczema. I applied it on my patches daily for about a month so far. The first application stung on my largest patch but not after that. The patches shrunk so it definitely helped but the eczema is not gone completely. But at least its down to a tolerable level. Maybe it'll eventually be gone completely with continued use. I also tried it on my skin tags and acne, seems to help a little bit.It has the greenish hue which I hear is the better quality. I am sensitive to smells. It has an unusual smell but I did not find it bothersome.My only complaint is the dropper has a big hole so as soon as you remove the dropper. it starts dripping oil right away so you have to be careful not to get the oil all over the place. 4oz is not really a lot and provides better value than the 1 oz products, if you are using it on a daily basis.

I had really been looking forward to using this, as it's supposed to do wonders for your skin. Unfortunately, when I received the oil it smelled of old oil, but I decided to try it anyway because I never thought anyone would send old product, and after 2 times of using it and feeling unwell for awhile afterwards, both times, I decided it was too old and had gone rancid!! I had other people smell it to see what they thought, one person said they can't tell,, because since covid they lost most of their sense of smell, the other 2 agreed with it being bad, and one of those people uses Tamanu on a regular basis. They said that Tamanu naturally has a strong smell, but not stinky like it's rancid, and I should return it. I was disappointed, and things got busy in my world, and I neglected to handle this until today. So based on my experience, I have given it 1 star.

I purchased this because I have scalp and face psoriasis and read that this would help. It absolutely helped. I quickly noticed less flakes and after a few weeks of use I barely have flakes at all. BUT that's not all. I randomly decided to put it on and under my toe nails. After getting salon pedicures I found the nails on my big toes turned dark, obviously a fungus. I tried some big name brand fungus "cures" that claim clearing in days, but after months very little change was noticed. I used this Tamanu oil and saw changes the next day. I have been using it for maybe 5 days and I see so much change it is incredible. At this rate a few more days and my nails will be back to normal. This stuff is AWESOME. Well worth the money. AWESOME!
