They worked well for us! Read the long tale though on how I got to that conclusion.

I've had mixed feelings on these. I got a rescue Cavalier King Charles Spaniel beginning of Sept last. His eyes teared quite a bit, so I started the search for a solution. After trying some cleaners, I figured out I needed to try a feed through product. Never having had a dog with a tearing problem, this was new.At first I gave them full strength as directed for a couple days, one cube for 15-50lb dog (mine is 22lbs). My dog got HORRIBLE diarrhea, the type that turned to strawberry jam, super scary!!! Luckily I was able to get it stopped before I had to take him into the vet. After a week of only boiled turkey and pumpkin, we got his system back on track. I figured out I needed to give a MUCH smaller dose and work my way up. We went down to 1/4 cube for a week, then 1/2 cube for a week, 3/4 for a week and finally fill cube.So we used it til probably Christmas time befor I saw a marked improvement. I kept him on it that long because some of the reviews said it had taken that long. It was working by winter, but I wasn't sure if the lack of dust in the air (we live in a desert) was helping, or this. Also we'd tried a couple different high quality foods. Like I said, I wasn't sure if it was the angel eyes, snow keeping dust down, or diet change. After Christmas we took two trips (month total over 6 weeks time) to AZ, where it was dusty and basically like our place in summer. The tears didn't come back!!!Then I wasn't sure if it was the food he'd been on since Feb or not. When I ran out about the beginning of April, I didn't get more. Within a few days his tears were back. I ordered more angel eyes, and started him back on 1/2 cube dose. Wishing a few days his treats dried up again. Now it's mid May and he's still on the 1/2 dose. It's dusty again and the tears are still gone. These dry out quickly, and my dog doesn't want to eat them, no matter how tightly I close the top. The smallest jar is 4 months worth. So I don't feed them as treats, I just crumble them up into his food. He eats them no problem.Looong story summarized. You don't want to start the smaller dogs full dose, work it in slowly into the diet. They took about 3 months to kick in, but once they finally started to work, they really worked. After they start to work well, you may be able to reduce the dose as I was. And of course as some reviewers said, you may notice a difference in a matter of days, for us it was longer, but they do work.

works as advertised!

Update Jan 2020- the company seems to have changed the formula. This product worked miracles a year ago but does not seem to work at all now. We even tried not using them for a while to see if an immunity was built up, but upon starting back we barely can notice a difference. We recently purchased a Coton De Tulear, which we immediately noticed had very dark tear stains. These were so bad that it was actually matting the fur down with the coloring covering a large portion of the face. We started giving these to her daily; luckily, she loves them so we use them as treats. It took about a month or so for the stained hair to grow out, but we have now noticed that her fur is practically white now. We continue to give them daily and she is practically stain free now. I will admit, I had zero hope that this product would work, so I had to eat my words to my wife. I highly recommend this product if tear stains are an issue.

Didn’t work.

Wasn’t effective at really whitening my girl dog’s red stained hair around her eyes. Easy to pick out and clean the hair, and smelled good. I cleaned with speed and sometimes when they were in the tub to speed up the steps. Was soft textured pads. Speedy. Looked great in its container. Was a lot of pads.

This works! BEEF flavor ONLY

I love this stuff! BEEF ONLY THOUGH! If you use the chicken flavor and it doesn’t work, you might want to try this one.I bought and used the BEEF flavor, for months, without staining. Then, I accidentally ordered the chicken flavor, 😣 . Within a week my mini golden doodle (light cream color) started showing tear stains.Long story short, he was stain free until he got an ear infection. Aka: a YEAST infection. It not only affected his tears, but his saliva as well. Everywhere he licked stained, including his bum. Ugh! An antibiotic cleared it up, but it came back within a month. That’s when we realized he had issues with yeast and chicken byproducts.I love my boy, stains and all, but a sensitivity to chicken and yeast is another matter. And, staining is a major sign of that, especially if it’s in their saliva.Anyhoo……Guess what one of the main ingredients in the chicken formula is? BREWERS YEAST! It’s like the number 2 ingredient. As an aside, we also took him off any food with yeast in it, or chicken. No more yeast infections or major staining (except regular tears that I clean daily).Sooooo…I finally get to my point..sorry about that! 🤣 I gave the chicken flavor to a friend, reordered the beef and my boys stains went bye bye!I hope this helps those who have issues like I did. It’s so frustrating trying to figure this stuff out, when the vets are like “it’s allergies, blah, blah, blah”. Or, the internet is like, “ try this….blah blah blah”. Or dog food companies are like….”our food works best…blah blah blah”.

Pointless product does nothing

Our little dog gets hair stains and they said that it would help stop them, but actually the product does absolutely nothing but take your money. Please don't patronize merchants who sell products that they know don't work and yet still continue to sell them on Amazon to unsuspecting pet owners who just wanted to do the best for their dogs. This product is a waste of money and it does not work.#Fail

Really Works

These Angels' Eyes Natural Tear Stain Prevention chews are meant to limit the dark staining under your pooch's eyes. This is unsightly for dogs with light/white hair and fur.We have been using this product for many months and find that it really does help eliminate the dark under eye staining. The chews are very small. For our 10 lb. dog, we pull them in half and add it to her food (one a day).
