Meet Fred, my five pound Yorkie who, as you can see, is absolutely thrilled with his 2022 Christmas card outfit!Fred typically wears an XS to small in dog clothing, but heeding the advice from other reviewers, I sized up to a medium and am glad I did...or Fred would have to appear on this year's Christmas card in nothing but his birthday suit.The outfit is well made, and as you can see, looks absolutely adorable on a smaller pet. The outfit simply goes on over the head, with front legs inserted into the suit's legs. there is a bit of elastic at the underside and it leaves plenty of clearance for a male dog to go potty without soaking the suit.The hat has a bit of elastic, but it didn't take much more than Fred shaking his head and it was off. Thankfully, I was fast enough to get a photo before the hat was on the floor.Personally, I love this style of dog costume - any pup looks hilarious with human like arms, however, the "hands" on this outfit just aren't distinctive enough and with the white fluffy cuffs of the suit, the hands are indistinguishable, and look more like tiny mitts at best. If the "hands" were larger, with a tiny bit more detail, or in red, it would look a bit more convincing.Proportionately, the suit works on Fred, who is very short, with short legs, but just barely. I had to pull the suit forward a bit to get the pant legs to appear a bit longer than they were sitting with the suit pulled on properly. I can see where this could be an issue for taller, longer-legged dogs as while it appears the suit may work on some larger-bodied dogs, the "pants" look to be very short in length on some of the bigger dogs shown.

The costume stretched very well and it was easy to put on. The issue is the legs is too short. When my dog is running around, you can't really see the costume. The arms a bit too short. It would look better on short leg dogs like corgis. Overall not a bad costume. A bit flimsy.

I was very careful with measurement of my dog to make sure I got the recommended size but it was a bit small anyway. Still cute, though

Very cute. I am glad I read the reviews. I have. 40 lb golden doodle and bought a 3xx. The legs were short but it will work.

I'd recommend large for anything animal over 20 lbs. to a L

I just wish the sizing was more accurate and also they made one big enough for my 85# lab

My dogs weigh 20lbs (ordered size XL) and 40lbs (ordered size XXXL). It fit perfectly on the small dog and the costume looks like an elf with shorts on the bigger, long-legged dog, which just makes it all the more quirky, in a fun way.

Hi, I ordered the XL for my 45 pound dog, according to the size chart and it was way too small.

This is the cutest thing ever! Glad I read the reviews and got a size up. We got a medium. Bentley is a 6lbs Yorkie with 14 inch chest and 9 inch neck and the medium fit PERFECTLY!

This costume is so cute and I am really happy I got it! It makes the perfect Elf on a Shelf costume. My dog is a teacup/toy breed and is about 7 lbs, which is about the same size or smaller than a cat. She fits a Medium size for this costume. My first order arrived with some quality issues, so I had to reorder, which is why I deducted one star. However, the second order was great!

Did not expect much, so pleasantly surprised! It's cute and hilarious. The 15lb cat (bought a medium, perfect size) hates it, which somehow makes it even funnier? Will most likely murder us in our sleep for the indignity of it all. Would still buy it again.

I got my 10lb pomeranian a large. A bit loose but medium would be too tight for all her fluff to fit. Arms on the costume are not stuffed so you have to puff them out a bit. The hat it came with is too big even with the garter..nothing a few stiches can fix.

Nous avons acheté cet ensemble XSmall pour un yorkshire toy de 3 lbs pour notre photo de famille, elle était très mignonne, toutefois les pattes étaient trop courtes pour les manches du costume on a fait des turn-ups pour raccourcir. Le colorant rouge a déteint les encolures blanches qui sont devenus roses une fois la réception du costume faite. Je n’ose pas le laver des fois que tout le blanc devienne rose....
