Wish I could give this 100 stars!
Where has this been all my life!? Oh in Europe thats right 😭 So we have the old school metal clamp ones from like 50 years ago. They hurt your hands and shells fly all over the couch, the kids cant work them bc theres no electricity or coding involved so you end up having to crack them all with your borderline arthric hands- you know the ones. Good for crab legs and nothing more. So I came to the 'zon looking bc I figured there had to be something better by now. And as usual the Amazon God's came through and shined this adorable little mushroom from the European heavens down upon me #Blessed Honestly though, so freakin cute! I was amazed at how easily it cracks them AND holds all the shell in- no more mess all over the couch! Your feet will also thank you for no longer stepping on the invisible nut shrapnel.I posted some pix so you could feel the cute aesthetic vibes, size up the thing (I have tiny child sized hands) and throw some nuts in for reference. Hazelnuts are my jam and this thing seems made just for them. So easy to use- just pop in the nut, hold it so your palm covers the opening and turn until you hear the crunch. So easy even left handed people can use it! Oh and so can people with arthritis. So if y'all are looking for a grandparent win with little financial investment this is it. Although, I recommend buying them each their own so they don't fight over it. You know how old people are, it's like they aren't even the same people who taught us to SHARE. How many times did we hear that eh..Anyway, love everything about it! Will definitely be giving these little fungal gems out to friends and family. They may cost (substantially) more than those old metal hand graters but the wood design makes them a life long treasure so there's a good return on investment here 😊

Perfect nutcracker!
This is a great nutcracker! The design is perfect. You can cover the opening so shells are contained and not flying all over the place. Cute. Super easy to use. Just what I was looking for. Love it!

Good Investment
This little thing works great. I just had to realize that my hand needs to cover the hole so that nuts don’t come flying out and hitting my face.

Not quite as large as I thought it would be.
A bit smaller that I thought, but still a good value for the money and very well made.

Cute and functional
The cutest nutcracker ever. I was worried this would be more of a novelty type item, but it works really well. I have used it on walnuts effortlessly. Pecans take a little getting used to. I am pretty sure this thing will last forever. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend for gifts!

Great for Some Nuts not All
I enjoy eating nuts from the shell but I've had trouble finding a perfect nutcracker. The old standby squeezers always worked well but often pinched, and couldn't contain flying bits of shell. I tried another type where you insert the nut and squeeze the lever and it worked reasonable well but was too small for walnuts and too big for almonds. When it finally broke after a couple of years, I decided to try this one. The design is simple and the nutcracker is attractive. You pop in the nut and turn the screw until the nut cracks. It's a little tricky to get it right since if you screw too far, the nut is crushed. It works great for walnuts and hazelnuts. It's easy to put one hand over the opening to prevent any bits of shell from escaping as you turn the screw, but like my last nutcracker, it's nearly impossible to get an almond without crushing it to bits. I keep wishing for an indentation on the bottom where the nut can be placed on it's side and won't slide away from the screw, or perhaps the screw itself could have a wedge cut out so it can crack almonds and Brazil nuts. All in all, It's a decent nutcracker but not for almonds.

Love it for hazelnuts, not great for almonds.
This is so cute! I love that it can sit on my window sill until needed and it looks like decor.Pros:- Cute- Powerful. Easily cracks hazelnuts and walnuts.- Contains shells (100% if you cover the mouth with your opposite hand)Cons- rounded bottom means almonds slip sideways and are crushed instead of cracked
