I have been using these chews for years to supplement my calcium intake. They are tasty, kind of like a tootsie roll but less chewy, and only 15 calories per chew. I have bought off label brands, but cannot find them lately. I prefer these chews to calcium pills.

So happy I went with these, I hate swallowing those huge pills, I never finish the bottle, and I've tried the liquid, which gets too thick half way thru, so I throw it away. This is easy, convenient, and taste delicious. The ingredients are all natural, so there's corn syrup, it's not high fructose, and the coconut oil says hydrogenated, but that's okay too. I watch my diet, so this little bit, is no big deal. It won't harm you. The other ingredients are sweet condensed milk, cocoa, corn starch, lecithin and vitamin D & K. Each candy is foil wrapped separately, so they don't stick together. And I purchased three "add on items" at once making them only $30 for 300. The best price on Amazon or any drugstore. I will continue to use this, since my osteoporosis hasn't gotten better with just vitamin D3. You need calcium, and to better absorb the calcium you need magnesium, which I also buy from Amazon, but not as a pill, but as a flake, that I dilute into a quart of liquid, and rub on my body. It's called ancient minerals.So I highly recommend this product, I keep one on the counter for a soft chewy candy, and one in the fridge that hardens it into more of a sucking candy. You decide.

My OB/Gyn recommended I take calcium supplements since I don’t always get enough in my diet (which is the best way to do it). She suggested Viactiv because chewable supplements are usually more readily absorbed than pills. Also, since they taste good, I’ll be more likely to take them. (Hard to believe they are supplements and not candies!) In addition to containing 650 mg (50% DV) of calcium, each chew contains vitamins D and K for better absorption of the calcium. Directions state to eat one or two chews daily, preferably with meals for better absorption. Because your body can only absorb a limited amount of calcium at once, it is better to take them at different times of the day should you opt for 2 chews daily. The chews I received have an expiration date 20 months out.

When I was pregnant, I took two Viactiv daily. I really love how I can get my daily recommended amount of calcium and vitamin D in two yummy chews without stomach discomfort. That’s extremely important especially while pregnant.I had to take gummy prenatal vitamins and they lacked calcium. I was worried that I would encounter tooth and bone density issues later in life because of how many nutrients your body will draw out during pregnancy. I felt good taking Viactiv to ensure this wouldn’t be a problem. I’m now breastfeeding and I feel that both my baby and I are benefiting from the added calcium.I highly recommend Viactiv. It’s a great product, easy on your stomach, and a good price.

I had a severe case of osteoporosis in my bones, particularly the spinal cord. Of course, I took the bone-building drug for 4 years and it worked. Afterward, my doctor advised me to take calcium pills, which I detest. So for the next few years, I chewed calcium chews instead. Recently, they retested me and found that my bone density was still doing very well and I had lost only a small amount since I finished the bone-building drug. I personally attribute this to these calcium chews. They taste yummy and I like both the chocolate and caramel chews. I look at them as my daily treat!

Great tasting CHEWABLE calcium supplement - SO MUCH EASIER to take then the usual giant horse pills that must be swallowed! I like the chocolate flavor best and take two a day - one in the morning and one in the evening. I wish it had less sugar and calories, but I consider it a twice-daily treat! My only complaint is that ordering it online from Amazon (or Walmart) had proven to melt the contents a bit, making them sometimes difficult to remove from the wrap, so I try to buy mine at my local Walmart - the only store that seems to carry it here in Austin, Texas.
