Dr. Harvey's Specialty Diet Healthy Weight Chicken Recipe, Human Grade Dehydrated Dog Food with Chicken (5 Pounds)

I have a small dog, around 14lbs. Before this food, he was obese and needed to be on a diet because he was 16lbs! (Which is a lot for a little dog) I had to restrict his calories and I felt so bad feeding him dry food alone because I could only feed him about a 1/4 cup a DAY! Dr. Harvey's food has been a great alternative to the old dry food because I know he is getting the nutrients he needs, while being fuller and more satisfied. I also add edamame or some oats for fiber. My dog has lost the 2 lbs he needs and he has maintained the weight loss. His energy has come back and he has become playful and likes to run around again! And his coat looks great! He gets very excited for meal times and scarfs it up, every time!

This dog food is great tasting and my husky loves it . Easy to prepare and great value for the money . Fits the nutrition needs of my dogs

Our dog needs to lose some weight. I want him to have a healthy way to lose the weight. We just started it a couple of weeks ago. So far so good.

Hi- I feed my beagle this brand and have had no issues at all with her liking it. When I ordered the last bag , it was ripped open, and I couldn’t return it. Although the food quality is good there should be a way to return an opened bag. It’s pretty pricey so I used the amount that was left in the bag with the hope that no bugs were in ot.

I’m sadden that Dr Harvey’s stopped making this product. I have 2 Over weight chihuahuas on April 9 we started using this starting weight for rocco was 13lbs, for dash starting weight was 15lbsOne month later. Rocco is now 9.7lbs, and dash is 11.8lbs Bring this product back!!!!!

Ok, so first off, the dogs love the food. They lick the bowls clean which is an always but they stay there for like a handful hour each licking an empty bowl! I do see shinier eyes and a glossy coat after just a couple of weeks. The one thing I’m a bit on the fence about is the amount of poop that is happening. And it isn’t about cleaning up said poop it is more about the amount of carrots I’m seeing in the poop. Carrots are known to bulk things up a bit which would explain the increased pooping but I’m a little concerned about the amount of carrot they are each getting daily. It is probably fine I’m the food and maybe I would just cut down on their raw carrot treats (which they love very much) if I continue with this food. I just ordered the allergy blend as well for the younger one and will report back soon on that one but even with this food I have not seen my young pup biting her nails at all since she started eating this.

I have 2 spoiled little guys and I put them on Merrick weight control then had to switch to a vet prescribed diet food. It had lots of fiber, but no nutrition. Yes it worked, but I never felt good about giving it to my fur babies. This food smells good my finicky one eats it. If I feel their weight is running low I will add a little protein. Vet, me, and the dogs are very happy.
