Perfect for a 2013 Toyota Camry SE
I installed this in a 2013 Toyota Camry SE and the default angle of the camera looks good without having to use the included rubber wedge. It wasn't too hard to install. I had to drill a hole for the camera itself and a second hole for the wire to go into the trunk. I used a file to smooth out the edges of the hole and put electrical tape inside it so that it would be less likely to damage the wire. My Camry had the fancy screen already but no backup camera. I used this camera along with an adapter wire for the radio to make it work. The camera powered on all the time so that when the radio looks for it, it finds it. If it does not sense a camera connected, nothing happens. If you try to use the power wire from the reverse light, it will take too long to power on the camera and the radio won't see the signal and nothing will come up on the screen. I first ordered a cheaper $15 camera but the FOV on it was about 45° and not useful at all. This one is plenty wide, looks like 170° to me, and makes objects behind me easy to see.

If you have Camry Basic 2012-2014, read this first!
This short message is about some mistakes that can be made during the installation of backup camera GreenYi HD720 on your car.The booklet with instruction from manufacturer has two wiring diagrams, and none of them is correct when we talk about Camry 2012 Basic (also 2013 and maybe 2014).First of, the Camry uses + 6 volts for triggering and feeding their original camera (that's what I was told by the seller of harness) , and this makes potentially harmful for your car using +12 volt for triggering and feeding aftermarket cameras such as GreenYi HD720.More expensive models of Camry have a special connector for feeding their original camera, but since Basic model has no such connector, there is no reason to buy the original camera and pay for it triple price compare to GreenYi HD720.The second point is that the Camry DOES NOT require triggering for correct work AT ALL!At the very moment when you turn the gear to REVERSE position, the system tries to catch video signal and if it's detected it will be translated to the display right away.If system does not recognize the video signal, the screen stays the same. When you turn the gear to any other position like Parking or Neutral, system blocks video and return previous screen to display. As simple as that.So you can easily forget about triggering wires and leave them alone. But you do need to get additional single wire for getting +12 volts from other spot. It has to be just about same length as video cable. The size should be 18-20 AWG, copper is preferable. The camera suppose to work all the time because the time of detecting video signal is very short and camera has a delay between applying the voltage and getting itself into full working mod.For this reason you cannot use reverse light wires for getting +12 volts from them, it's just not going to work. You have to use additional cable and get voltage either from cigarette lighter, or from fuse box or from another connector on the radio which has +12v wire. I have used the last option (grey colored wire from the last connector on the right side of the radio, if you look in front of display).I've attached the ground (black) wire from camera to the frame. Everything works flawlessly now. That's all what I'd like to say. Good luck with installation! :)PSThis is my first back up camera and I have nothing to compare with, but you have to be aware that the wide angle camera has some specific features - it does catch a bigger picture but at the same time it makes harder to estimate the actual distance to the objects (because of fish eye effect). So its hard to drive backward looking only to display.I look at the display at the very last feet to the obstacles like the a wall, carb etc. and when I about to start moving back.I just want to say that the camera is a great control unit, but don't thing to use is for continuous driving backward.

Nice camera
I was not able to install it on my car because of the angle the place it was going to be mounted at was at an incline. The camera would not sit probably. BUT when testing the camera it had a great picture. And the quality was nice. It has a metal case. Very nice quality. I will be installing it on another car soon. It is a good camera just didn’t work on my car like I wanted it to.

Great price, good camera, easy install!
Great camera especially for the price. If your handy with tools and electrical it's a breeze to install. Was installed and done in a snap. Was installed as a backup camera in a 2011 Nissan Altima sedan. I bought extra 3m wire clips to route and hold the wire thru the trunk area, used zip ties the attach it to the existing wire harness and up under and through the dash. Would definitely buy it again

Absolutely wonderful image quality... but not sure I like the fisheye effect yet
I had purchased another camera that didnt angle down enough to help much when hooking a trailer up to my truck. I could see the trailer hitch, but not my truck ball so I often backed up too short or too far and had to wrestle the trailer the rest of the way to get it connected to my truck. Having a camera like this that points mostly down toward the ball has sure made it much easier to hook the trailer up. I can now see the ball and about 3 inches of the receiver in front of the ball perfectly as I back up to the trailer.I reused most of the cabling from the old camera when hooking up this new fisheye camera so installation was pretty fast and easy. I couldnt get that dang split nut screwed on, so I just used the double sided sticky tape that came with the new camera to mount it which seems to be holding up just fine. Both the new and old cameras cost about the same, so I didnt expect much difference in video quality. It turns out this new camera has a lot clearer image even though my radio only supports CVBS video mode. Night vision is what really impresses me on this new camera. The only con so far has been that it is taking me a little while longer than expected to get use to the fisheye effect. Focusing on the ball and trailer hitch is easy enough, but focusing while backing into a parking spot while trying to stay centered between the severely curved lines is a bit more difficult. I find that I avoid backing into parking spots and now simply use the camera to check to make sure that I pulled passed the line before I put the truck in park.Note: hooking up the camera went smooth and the camera worked perfectly before I tried tidying up with zip ties. After zip tieing all the wires the camera stopped working for some uncertain reason. It only took a few minutes to troubleshoot though. I simply had to unplug and replug in the yellow video cable at the back of the truck to make the video come back on. I probably even gave it a little spin after reconnecting it. The cable was already fully inserted, so I dont know why unplugging it and replugging it worked. So far it hasnt happened again, so fingers crossed all is now good.
