Material is nice great size very easy to install and looks beautiful

The original entry door overhead light was cracked and the HOA here has specific requirements as to what kind of fixture can be used. This one fit the bill perfectly.

My rating is based on what you get for what you pay. There are a lot of fancier, more ornamental, heavier duty constructed lights out there to choose from but this light is well made, installs easily and securely, and won't require a home equity loan to purchase. I bought 4 of these for my front porch and liked them so much I ordered 3 more for my back porch- even though I wasn't going to replace those lights anytime soon- just so I have them when I needed them.The poly material will never rust which is nice and the glass is frosted a soft white color which hides the bulb inside and gives off a nice light at night. My only concern is that the poly doesn't mildew (black stains) over time which I have seen some outdoor plastic material do. Only time will tell but for now I am completely satisfied with the lights especially when cost is factored.

Simple installation under eaves, I added a photo sensor for automatic dusk-to-dawn operation.

This version was $7 less than the closest size available at HDepot. Installed very easily. The white housing is plastic; fairy rigid. Panels are glass. I was trying to replace *just the housing* for an existing 7.25” square base which seems to be discontinued everywhere. Couldn’t do it with the geometry of this unit - not enough “base area” adjacent to the panels to install holes to match existing lightbulb fixture plate. So, replaced whole existing unit. Works great.

I had a really disgusting plastic light cover that was around 10 years old (around 8.25in x 8.25in x 5in). It was just a cheap little no upgrade thing that the builder installed originally. It should have been replaced years ago. I finally had enough and started a search. I was originally just looking to replace the plastic tray inside of the light, but I'm really glad that wasn't an option. You have to buy the entire light fixture, however it is really worth it. This light fixture has a plastic frame but contains individual glass pieces instead of that cheap plastic tray. The light comes through better and I feel safer knowing it shines brighter. It will also last longer and handle the elements outside better. I have to buy at least one more because they are so worth it.

Bought 2 of these, one arrived broken. The glass is separate from the light mount and the bottom square piece of glass was broken. Probably was not the manufacturer's fault but didn't notice the no returns policy before I purchased. Apparently, 14% off is a close out price and doesn't warrant a return.

It’s a neat light and pretty good for the price but don’t buy it unless you’re good with a pair of tin snips and a file! The sheet steel base is too tight for the plastic outer shell. Take care: force it on and you’ll never be able to get it off to change a lightbulb! I spent a morning cutting and re-shaping the base so the white plastic outer casing now lips on and off without too much trouble. Looks quite smart but don’t think this is a 5 minute job to fit.
