Helps keep wild birds from nesting in my hanging patio plants. Pretty, easy to assemble. I hang them from the planter hooks, allow them to hang down to the plant itself. Also hang strings of them separately on hooks.

Don't know yet how well they work for deterring birds. But they are lightweight and shiny plastic as advertised. They make - when assembled, 8 stringers of 2 butterflies each, or you can make longer stringers but less of them. The 2 butterfly set is about 8-10 inches long by guesstimate.Easy assembly except if you are arthritic or have hand injuries. They are basically tiny key chains you use to link objects together so holding the little chains is a little tough but I understand why they are not pre assembled.I couldn't wait for delivery bc the mud martins were building faster than I could hose the mess off my white brick. So- I tried putting menthol gel shaving cream where they had been building and it seems to have stopped them for now. It's unfortunately also a sticky mess, but a lot cleaner when washed away and I don't have to camp on the front porch with a water hose and risk even more damage to my house.--.........Update next season- left these up - are in a protected area- and our mud martins returned and made a mess of things. So not as effective as I'd hoped, but I am not seeing as many. Maybe next year the birds will forget and go elsewhere to nest.

I am pleasantly surprised at how well these things work. I had woodpeckers banging on the side of my house for a couple seasons and went through a the options of repelling them. These work much better than say an owl decoy that you have to replace every few weeks when the birds get used to seeing it. These reflectors are very simple to use and completely passive. The only woodpecker problem I have is that the persistent little guy now moved to the very top of my house where I can’t get to to install a reflector. For what they are- this product is a good, low cost and passive solution. Only con is that they are very delicate, so be careful handling them. I fully expect to replace some after wind storms.

The picture that were advertised was much bigger. The actual ones that I have are very small.

I got these because reviews said it works to keep birds away, the birds where I live in Ohio like to bang into them and just go about their business.Theses did nothing at all to help, good thing they were cheap. I would not recommend

The reflectors work beautifully. I enjoy the little twinkle they spread about as well.

We had the craziest robin that was continually pecking/flying into glass windows. He would start as soon as the sun rose and would continue until sunset. Nonstop, just flying back and forth into the windows. Finally decided I needed to get some actual supplies to try and stop the dummy from hurting himself. Using these mirrors in combination with bird scare tape nearly immediately solved the issue. The mirrors were very easy to put together with the chains. I made them in varying lengths and put some outdoors and hung some indoors. I think these mirrors are what made the biggest impact. The only small downside is that they can easily get tangled because of the wind, but some quick adjusting fixes that. And an upside is that they are also kind of pretty to look at in the sunlight! I waited a week to leave this review because I wanted to make sure it actually solved the bird from flying into the windows and it appears that it has!

They produce a nice reflection off the Sun onto the driveway where I have. The movement seems to deter some of the birds.
