I cook a lot. I couldn't find these in bulk anywhere at this price. Very strong flavor.

In my family, there has always been bouillon in the cupboard. Always. My mom, who made everything from scratch, still had bouillon handy, just to add that extra 'oomph' of flavor to so many dishes. Tone's has been around for what seems like forever. I've bought smaller containers of Tone's at the grocery store. But, it really irritated me, how much you have to pay for just a few cubes. So, if you cook like I do (which is nearly every day) why not just get a decent supply of it to keep handy? If your recipe has chicken in it, or beef, just peel a cube and toss in there for that extra kick of flavor. This is much more economical, keeps darn near forever and is just so easy. Five stars.

Learning from the national history of the Great Depression when soup kitchens were as needed as today with the COVID-19 virus, Tones chicken and beef bouillon cubes became a pantry essential back in my childhood days as I learned from those who had survived such times. If worried about salt content, use less bouillon and decrease the addition of salt content in the prepared dish by other means, as able. In challenging times, these bouillon cubes offer a helping hand and a warm fill to sate a hungry stomach. They also add depth of taste to dishes, while working as a good base upon which to build others. Highly recommend this purchase as a pantry staple. This product has excellent taste and packaging, preserves well long-term and can be used to help in harder times, to stave off hunger and warm the soul.
