Perfect for Storing Photos
These are archival envelopes for storage of photographs (or, presumably, other treasures). I contacted the seller and learned that they are lignin free and acid free. Also, they verify suitability of their papers with the PAT test (the Photographic Activity Test, widely known as the PAT, is an International Standard in itself: ISO 18916.) Each will hold maybe12 photos 4x6" if you want to shove that many into the envelope. A 5x7 print will not fit. These are just what I needed.

Very useful for organizing snapshots and keeping them clean. Good quality.

Very good for photo storage
The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is that I have bought archival envelopes in the past that were a little thicker, sturdier. However, these work fine. I am archiving 25 years of photos so I cram a lot of photos in each envelope - and then write the year across the top. They are a little pricey but I haven't been able to find anything comparable. And they were delivered very quickly with Prime.

Safe storage for photos
Designed for no more than 12 photos. These seemed overpriced compared to former sources; however, these are getting harder to find and I still like to use them for safe photo storage.

Not glassine envelopes
I was disappointed in these plain paper envelopes. I hope they really are archival quality. I wish the size were a little larger. I don't think these are worth the cost.

I got what I ordered. They fit my photos. I have no way to confirm that they truly are acid free, but everything looks good.
