I had a security service that ended up being just too expensive, but I was so sad that access to my garage door was no longer available...until I discovered the CHAMBERLAIN Smart Garage Control - Wireless Garage Hub and Sensor with Wifi & Bluetooth - Smartphone Controlled, myQ-G0401-ES, White. I love this. It was very easy to install - in fairness, my hubby installed it, I didn't. It works well and so easy to use. We both have the app installed on our phones and we can both operate it. The wire length worked well as it is installed next to the opener. I don't know about battery life yet - only time will tell on that. We also added Ring cameras inside the garage to monitor the actual door to see it when it goes up or down. So far, really happy with the purchase and the price was great! The design is clean and simple. Although the instructions didn't indicate the brand garage door I have would work, my husband hooked it up and it works perfectly. No issues. App easy to use too!

So easy to set up; right before I went in the garage, I said this will take me a couple of hours because there are always the “usual issues” with tech. No issues, download the app and it walks you through everything. Took maybe 20 minutes.I didn’t want to use a drill to mount the base in case I ever wanted to change the location, so I used command strips and put them on the corners of the base. Hung it on a nearby rafter on the ceiling, by the garage motor. Invited some family members to use the app (as they stop by frequently) and took advantage of the Amazon Key garage drop off but it’s not necessary and you can select it (or not) when checking out with Amazon if you have a more expensive item or supposed to be stormy.Definitely recommend and very easy set-up.

I was reading reviews of door opener apps and there were many good reviews of this adapter. In fact, they suggestd getting a MyQ enabled opener. I priced that option. It was $900+. Instead I spent $25 on this adapter because I have very good liftmaster openers on both of garager doors.Installation was very easy. You have to use the app. If you don't want to use an app, don't get a MyQ device because the only benefit of MyQ is app compatability. The app walks you through the installation. There were no problems other than our garage has one outlet and it is inconvenient. So, I ran an extension cord to it. After install, the app and device work seamlessly. I was able to get everyone invited. For ease there, we used our existing gmail accounts to sign into the app. Then, logging in doesn't require an extra step because we are already logged into our phones.After install and use, I tested it out. It is slow to close the door because it beeps for a while and then closes the door. Openining is immediate. I had no issues with the network becasue the router is on the opposite side of the wall from the main MyQ hub. If anything, it is too close.After that, I looked into connecting it to Android Auto. It turns out that all of the articles I read are old. MyQ doesn't work with Google Home, Google Assistant, or Android Auto. I couldn't even find a way to open it from the car's interface. It is an independent app. To use it, you have to open the MyQ app on your phone (because there no way to get to it otherwise) and use it. My idea of having a garage door button in Android Auto will have to wait to see if Chamerlain and Google ever decide to play nice with one another.

I just moved into my home and getting out of the car to go open the garage was getting very tedious. I searched around and I kept coming across this product and when I looked at the reviews, I said why not? I paid for it to be delivered the same day because I really needed this right away. The installation was so simple and you have two features. You can tap the button to close your garage or you can press and hold the button on your phone screen to close the garage. The only downside is when you tap the button to close the garage or close it when you’re holding the button, it takes a few seconds for the garage door to close. While you’re waiting for the garage door to close, There is a beeping sound and I’m assuming that’s a warning to whoever is standing in the way that the garage door is about to close. Outside of that, the installation very easy and the product works great.

This little unit is surprisingly efficient and works very well. Very easy to install and I got this one as a returned item so it was incredibly cheap. Looks to be a 2023 model so maybe they were clearancing these for the newer 2025 model but they work exactly the same. I love being able to close and open my garage via remote right on my phone. It's rare when I leave it open but I can look at the app and it tells me what position the door is in.
